Hey I'm Stephanie! I am a vocalist based in LA and can sing lead and/or background vocals on your project. I am a classically trained vocalist and musician with over 25 years experience singing multiple genres including Americana, Musical Theater, Jazz, Classical, and Gospel.
As a musician and band leader, I understand the role that lead & background vocals play in the instrumentation as a whole. People have described by voice as clear, warm & resonate! Check out my vocal reel to hear some different genres I sing. Over the years I have countless hours as a live singer, band leader, worship leader, vocal coach and vocal arranger, but I have recently stepped into the vocal session world and loving it!!
Let's work together! Message me with your track and as much details as you can as to what you're looking for, and what/who you're wanting it to sound like. Turn around time is about 1-2 weeks! I look forward to working together and singing on your project!

I hired Stephanie to cut Vocals for an Americana style tune with Celtic roots. She was detailed and very responsive in our communication early on. She nailed the vocals and went the extra step to make sure her performance was exactly what I was needing. Her gear and room are set up for great sound! She is a true vocal chameleon and a joy to work with.

It was a pleasure to work with Stephanie. I appreciate it that she loved the song and worked hard to capture the emotional essence of the song. Great job on the harmonies as well. Communication was very easy and polite. An excellent vocal performance!

Stephanie was a pleasure to work with, and I couldn't be happier with her contribution. She was able to get me what I needed very quickly, and contributed some great ideas for backing vocal tracks in addition to the lead vocals. What an amazing voice!

Stephanie is great, very professional, creative, great with communication, easy to work with, great vocal range, she creates beautiful and interesting textures, is organized with file delivery, and most important: her vocals are top notch. Highly recommended. I'm sure we'll collaborate in future projects.

Super voice and versatile singer. Easy to work with and will definitely do more projects with.
I have worked with Stephanie for over five years, in both live performances and session work. She is a phenomenal vocalist. From rich vocal textures and airy choir layers, to in-your-face pop rock and raw americana, she can do it all. She isn't just a vocalist, she's a musician, so she gets it. She understands what it takes to produce a good song. She brings dynamics and dimension to your project, and is simply wonderful to work with. You'll be so glad you included Stephanie into your music.
Interview with Stephanie B Vocals
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: After clear communication with whoever I'm working with, I spend a lot of time listening and absorbing the track before I even step into the studio. I like to really feel the song before I jump in with recording vocals or backing tracks. I listen to any other songs that were sent as vocal examples (this is so helpful to send examples of vocal style you're aiming for, if you have them in mind!) I think through vocal style, phrasing, the vocal tone the song needs from start to finish. The vocals are such a big piece to telling the story of the song, and I want to do that not just with the words I sing, but with the vocal style I produce start to finish. Once I get into the studio I am ready to lay tracks, listen, and let my creative juices flow as I work.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Lauren Daigle - I just love her pop-gospel-southern rock sound and would LOVE to sing with her.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: I love recording with my Ultimate Ear in-ears. I know vocalist record with all sorts of headphones, but I LOVE recording with my UEs. I feel like I get the quality of sound + zero bleed in playback.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I have worked on all sorts of music, but most of my hours over my 25 years singing have been in the Musical Theater world and working as a worship leader.... both of which I feel are kind of meat and potatoes vocally.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My ability to change my voice to what the song needs. My range is wide, but my style can change from pop to country to opera.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I like to think I bring soul. I like to 'mean' what I sing, or at least try. Otherwise I feel like I'm just making noise.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: All things vocals! Lead vocals on originals or covers, harmonies & background vocals and/or stacked vocals for choir-like vibe! Love it all.
