Having gained education in the top centres of the musical world: Moscow, New York and London, my professional career has taken me around the world from China and Kazakhstan to India and South America.
I frequently play with leading UK orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, London Sinfonietta, Academy of St. Martin-in-the-fields, English Session Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Liverpool Philharmonic as well as Symphony Orchestra of India and touring with bands such as Deep Purple, Florence and the Machine, Mumford and Sons, Johnny Greenwood (Radiohead), PJ Harvey, Anna Meredith, Belle and Sebastian, and Rick Wakeman. I am principal flute of the London Contemporary Orchestra and Orpheus Sinfonia. I have premiered contemporary pieces in collaboration with the Riot Ensemble.

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: All of the film soundtracks that I played on. I am proud of all of them.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital. It is easier. Analog cause it sounds better.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: They will be happy with the results.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The fact that I can do it from home.

A: What do you do for a living? My answer is the same: Music.

A: That I play pretty Flute music.

A: How quickly do they need the recording done.

A: Decisiveness is important

A: Camera, laptop and a wifi range extender.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started classical music when I was 6 and it took me all around the world. I went to some of the best music conservatories in the world with some of the best teachers in he world.

A: Always listen back to your work before sending it back to the client.

A: Soundtracks
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I can make the flute sound cool.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: The flute can be anything from beautiful and haunting to punchy beats. My experience of working on film soundtracks give me the ability to understand what the client needs quickly.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I am very easy going and can adjust to the client's needs. Generally I just sit down and record until it is right (which is very quick).
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I use a Mac Studio with Logic Pro X as my DAW. This is connected to Apogee Element 88. My mics include 2x AGK214, 2x C1000S, 2x RODE NT4. I play on Solid Silver Altus Flute with a 14K Gold Haynes Headjoint.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I love music of all genres from baroque to contemporary. I am a hard rock fan at heart.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I am a session musician. I usually work in the studios.
