Jacob was wonderful to work with! He listened, asked all the right questions about inspiration and was very kind and patient with me. I am a novice working with a pro but Jacob never talked down to me and helped me understand more about music. I would definitely work with him again. Thank you Jacob!

Jacob was very quick and had a great voice
Jacob is a super talented music creator ! Writing, producing, mixing , etc. Not only is he talented on the highest levels he is a pleasure to work with!
I’ve worked with Jacob on over 12 singles, most of which I’ve already released and I’ve written with him in at least a dozen other projects. Jacob is solid across the board as a producer and co-writer. He knows how to take your vision for a song and make it the best it can possibly be. I will use him for every project that I release. You’ll definitely want to use him on your project.
Jacob is the first person I call to help me take an idea and turn it into a fully developed song. He is undeniably the best at melodies, story-telling, and production!!! Can't recommend highly enough
Interview with Jacob Lutz
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Doing music for a living. A boy from small town North Carolina didn't even think that was possible!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Sometimes a sound/part is exactly what it needs to be. Don't put an eq or a compressor on a track "just because" that's what you're supposed to do!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Country, Pop, R&B/Soul
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring a sound and some ideas that only I would have thought of. I have found in many musical situations it's just interesting to have people that don't have the exact same influences and tendencies that you have.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Talk with the client, get a full picture of what they are hoping for. At that point it's my job not only to see how I can help them but if I'm the right person for the job in the first place! Then we get to work completing their vision and hopefully better than they imagined.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: OVER COMMUNICATE!!!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started playing instruments in my parents church. I started with drums, then moved to guitar, bass, and keys. Been singing for as long as I can remember and producing since the lockdown of 2020. The plan has always been music and always will be!
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is listening to what a client (artist, producer, songwriter) wants and helping them achieve that in whatever ways I can.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Mac Studio, Apollo Twin (quad core), Apollo X8P (rackmount), TLM 103 Microphone, SM7B Microphone, Ableton Live 11 Suite, Pro Tools, Maschine Plus (drum maschine), Gibson J-200 (acoustic), Fender Telecaster (electric), Gibson ES-335 (electric), Harley Benton Banjo
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Joey Moi, Mark Ronson, Jon Bellion
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Right now I mostly write and produce songs. Some are as simple as an acoustic guitar and a vocal to full productions. I also love vocal producing!
