BFlat is the best producer I’ve dealt with. Also a very great keys player for every project I ever needed and is super professional. He can play all genres of music and give you the best production for your song. This is a no-brained!

I have been working with Ben for years. His writing, production and playing are incomparable! His playing and production can be heard across 4 of my 8 albums, and I continue to call ion him for work with all projects I’m connected to. I highly recommend Ben! Mr. BFlat is the most humble AND most talented composer at the same time, all the time. Not everyone works well together but if you can't work well with Ben, it's most likely you.
In all seriousness -book him now while he's still affordable. He arranged, wrote and produced several songs for my pet project jazz epq and I released it through Distrokid. 3 years later the songs he worked on still get an income-producing amount of streams worldwide.

Interview with Mr.BFlat

  1. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  2. A: I will treat your work like it’s my very own project. All the energy and ideas I would have with my own stuff, will go into making your music.

  3. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  4. A: I enjoy the process of creating. It’s like an artist with a blank canvas. You begin the process and you keep hearing and seeing more and you begin to add different colors until finally you physically hear what you heard in your head.

  5. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  6. A: That what I do shouldn’t cost what it does. That hurts a lot actually.

  7. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  8. A: What is the song? How did you come up with this? What is the vision of your project? Where do you plan on this going?

  9. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  10. A: Be prepared with as much detail as you possibly can. The more detail, the more I am able to help tell your story!

  11. Q: How would you describe your style?

  12. A: My style is a mixture of different genres rolled into one. I was classically trained, played gospel starting at 13, learned jazz at 16, and put it all together to create a blend of everything in one.

  13. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  14. A: I would LOVE to work with Jacob Collier!! The possibilities would be endless!!!

  15. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  16. A: Normally film scoring, Gospel, Jazz, Neo Soul, and hip hop

  17. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  18. A: Not everything needs compression 😂

  19. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  20. A: My strongest skill would be playing by ear

  21. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  22. A: Life. I want the listeners to envision a story in what I’m playing. We as musicians are story tellers. It is up to us to tell our clients a good story.

  23. Q: What's your typical work process?

  24. A: I normally play to the mp3/wav of a song and add my color in. Depending on the song will depend what I play.

  25. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  26. A: My favorite musician to learn off of right now would be Jacob Collier. Watching him, I’ve learned to break the rules and be free to think and play how you imagine!

  27. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  28. A: My most common work would be providing piano and/or string arrangements for a client.
