Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: The most essential part of songwriting to me is the story. Thus, it is imperative to get to know you both as an artist and a person. Things like your hobbies, hometown, or even favorite food are all details that can be referenced to tailor a beautiful narrative that pushes past the surface an connects with audiences.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style is built on creating a one-on-one connection between the artist and the listener. I enjoy writing lyrics that have sections that often read like a poem, but all in all, I believe nothing should compromise the conversational flow of the lyrical story-telling
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Regarding my work, soul-pop is my genre of choice, and there is no question about it. That's just the niche I put myself into as an artist and I'm happy there. But having spent years working under various songwriters and partaking in freelance work, I'm willing to work in many genres. Rock is definitely a secondary favorite of mine, and honestly, anything that allows me to lean on a little vocal fry for melodic inspiration is always a fun time. regardless, if you are seeking a songwriter for any genre excluding metal, I'm glad to help (No hate, Metalheads are insanely talented; I don't have the skillset/experience).
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I have a plethora of inspirations from Usher and Axl Rose to Michael Jackson and M. Shadows. But my greatest inspiration has to be Hayley Williams. to this day I vividly remember the frustration that came with trying to replicate her sound as a baritone singer but I think there's no doubt that it brought me to a stage that I never would have reached without her sound pushing me to my limits.
