Private mastering engineer HMMA music in media award 2021 winning best jazz with hundreds of collaboration in Italy and drummer of the Radio Italia Live Orchestra offers high-quality mix, analog mastering and drum recordings for productions of various musical genres.
Hi, I'm Luca, drummer and mastering engineer with 20 years of experience. I recently became the drummer of the "Radio Italia Live orchestra" where every year, the greatest singers of Italian music perform (Eros Ramazzotti, Tiziano Ferro, Max Pezzali, Levante, Diodato, Articolo 31 just to name a few). I am owner of a mastering studio equipped with first-rate analogue equipment, acoustics with attention to every detail and a pair of high-precision Genelec speakers.
The services I offer are in line with my skills: Recording of drum tracks, mixing and mastering in the most varied musical genres.

Interview with Luca Fareri
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both, without a doubt. Analog heart, convenience and transparency of digital.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The possibility of working on ever new projects, consequently listening to lots of different music.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My listening room, my speakers, my converters, my drums, my analog limiter Pendulum Audio PL-2.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop, Pop/Rock, Hard Rock, Fusion, Jazz, Electronic, Experimental Pop, Trap, Rap, R&B, Blues.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: The sensitivity in listening and realizing my client's musical ideas
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: As a drummer I bring the right sound, impact and groove to each production, combined with a personal style that can help make each song unique. As a mastering engineer I take care of the details that may escape during the production and mixing phases, elevating the songs to their maximum expressive form and sound quality.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio is equipped with the best of the digital and analogue world, but above all, it enjoys very high precision acoustics and mastering level listening. Here it is really possible to do an "X-ray of sound"
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am very inspired by composers because they allow me to express myself as a drummer, in the creative part of a musical production and to finalize their music as a mastering engineer, having an important role in two fundamental aspects of the birth of a record.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The services I most commonly perform involve the recording of drum tracks and the mastering of single songs or entire albums. My studio is mainly equipped for this type of activity.
