  1. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  2. A: Steven Wilson or Deadmau5. Because they keep it simple, but know how to be bold.

  3. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  4. A: Electronic, Rock, Art-Rock, Ambient, and Hip-Hop

  5. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  6. A: I bring flare and 3 dimensions to a song. I give it life and put it in a space. I do my best to give the song life and to break expectations and predictability.

  7. Q: What's your typical work process?

  8. A: I'm an ABleton power-user, who also works in Bitwig, and Logic Pro. I work from top down mixing and mastering as well.

  9. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  10. A: I did a remix for a song called "Iridescent by J-Bay. It tuned out really well,

  11. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  12. A: I'm working on a new solo EP, and a rap album for a client.

  14. A: Not yet.

  16. A: Digital, but using analog emulation. It's easier and cheaper.

  17. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  18. A: That they will get a radio-ready track.

  20. A: Everything. I love music, sound design, and how it all fits together.

  22. A: They usually just ask if I like the song.

  24. A: That it's easy.

  26. A: What their vision is, and what their influences are.

  27. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  28. A: Listen to their work extensively. See if they are a good fit for you sonically.

  29. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  30. A: My guitar. My laptop, my MIDI controller, a mic, and an interface. (assuming there's electricity) Otherwise, an acoustic guitar and a cajon. And shorts.

  31. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  32. A: I've been at this for over 30 years. A lifetime of experience.

  33. Q: How would you describe your style?

  34. A: A mixture of progressive rock, and electronic music.

  35. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  36. A: Don't over compress. Take breaks to refresh your ears once an hour. Revisit your mixes after a week before you decide it's finished. EQ is your friend, learn how to identify the frequencies by ear.

  37. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  38. A: Harmony, melody, and a great ear for the big picture.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: I have a home studio equipped with PreSonus monitors and sub, M-Audio interface, Apple M1 computer, Ableton 12, AKAI MPC61, Arturia Microfreak, Novation Launchkey, Launchpad X, Arturia minilab, and Novation Launch Control X, and dual monitors. Also, lots of guitars.
