Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I did a remix for a song called "Iridescent by J-Bay. It tuned out really well,
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm working on a new solo EP, and a rap album for a client.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Not yet.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital, but using analog emulation. It's easier and cheaper.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: That they will get a radio-ready track.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Everything. I love music, sound design, and how it all fits together.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: They usually just ask if I like the song.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That it's easy.

A: What their vision is, and what their influences are.

A: Listen to their work extensively. See if they are a good fit for you sonically.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My guitar. My laptop, my MIDI controller, a mic, and an interface. (assuming there's electricity) Otherwise, an acoustic guitar and a cajon. And shorts.

A: I've been at this for over 30 years. A lifetime of experience.

A: A mixture of progressive rock, and electronic music.

Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don't over compress. Take breaks to refresh your ears once an hour. Revisit your mixes after a week before you decide it's finished. EQ is your friend, learn how to identify the frequencies by ear.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Electronic, rock, and Rap.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Harmony, melody, and a great ear for the big picture.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring flare and 3 dimensions to a song. I give it life and put it in a space.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I work in Ableton Live and am a poweruser. I work from top down mixing and mastering as well.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a home studio equipped with PreSonus monitors and sub, M-Audio interface, Apple M1 computer, Ableton 12, AKAI MPC61, Arturia Microfreak, Novation Launchkey, Launchpad X, Arturia minilab, and Novation Launch Control X, and dual monitors. Also, lots of guitars.
