Hi there, my name is Nicolas Michaux. I'm a singer-songwriter, music producer and mixing engineer. Born and bred in Belgium I now divide my time between Brussels, where I work at The Free House studios, and the Danish island of Samsø, where I take care of my daughters and work on music.

I released a critically acclaimed debut album in 2016 called "A la vie, à la mort". My second album “Amour Colère” was out in September 2020 and was supported by BBC6music, France Inter, The Line of Best Fit, La Blogothèque…
I produce, record and mix my music by myself with the help of some collaborators.
Alongside my own work, I'm active as a music producer, instrumentalist, and mixing engineer for other artists.
I produced, recorded and mixed last Turner Cody's album called Friends In High Places.
I also produced, recorded and mixed Under The Reefs Orchestra upcoming album.
I have a mixing station in Denmark and I manage a fully equipped recording studio in Brussels. That's where I record and mix most of my stuff.
I collaborate with the Rare Sound Studio for Mastering.
I always adapt my contribution to the needs of the project I'm involved with. I can deal with production from A to Z or just help on a particular stage of the process. My main focus is to serve the spirit of music and enable the musicians to express their full potential in a safe emotional environment.
