Interview with Jakob Haut
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Im currently developing my artist project „JAS1X“ and sell indie/electronic beats on beatstars. Other than that I produce & engineer for local artists from Hamburg.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Analog is more fun, digital is more practical. Depends on my mood for the day
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Laptop, Matriarch, Guitar, Interface and a coffee machine :)
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Check everything on the worst possible speakers at least once
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I have worked on styles like pop, indie rock, house, garage, hip hop. Always open to work on new styles!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I enjoy getting the most out of songs through layering and small elements that don't seem that crazy but really bring a production to life!
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work on a Macbook Pro (M4 Pro). My Apollo connects the Moog Matriarch, guitar pedals and mics to the T8V monitors.
