Joshua D. Niles is a Nashville, TN based record producer, engineer, and mixer who’s work, both major label and independent, has landed on Billboard, TV / Film, Radio, and topped iTunes and Spotify worldwide charts.
Niles started his career over 15 years ago signed to Equal Vision Records, making albums with Mark Trombino [Jimmyeatworld, Blink 182, Mineral]. After the artist chapter came to a end, focus shifted, and he began training at The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences to fine tune his skills as a engineer. Shortly after relocating to Nashville to began work at Nashville’s renowned Sputnik Studios where He started a 2 year stretch under multi-Grammy award winning Engineer Vance Powell [Jack White, Kings of Leon, Arctic Monkeys, Chris Stapleton, etc.] and Producer Mitch Dane [Jars of Clay, JJ Heller, etc.] Throughout the years he began producing on his own in studios all around the country.
From day one Niles has always been chasing art with integrity. Never wanting to be put inside a box, he aspires to help artist reach for something new while retaining a competitive edge in today’s over saturated market. Someone who can help take his 15+ years of experience, meetings, successes and failures and help work along side to capture their vision. Niles is not someone you’ll catch using cliche tricks, or cranking out a track in a afternoon. He’s someone who listens, dives into the nuances, helping create a voice with the goal of capturing something genuine. Forever chasing where music might be heading next.

Endorse Joshua D NilesAs a vocalist and songwriter, I've never had a producer I've enjoyed working with more. I started working with Niles in 2015 and have come back continuously over the past couple of years to record and co-write with him. Not only is he a real life wizard that brings out the best in every project but his castle-like studio simply breeds creativity. Great dude, great hang, brilliant in any role.
I have had the pleasure of working with Niles on a couple of different projects ranging from Indie-ish Rock (Taylor Phelan) to CCM (Cloverton). The aesthetic and sound of his space/gear are amazing and his ability to tap into an artist/musician and bring them to the next level is continually inspiring. 11 stars. Hire him now.
Josh is an extremely versatile engineer and producer. I (Future Soul) have worked with him on electronic/indie records (brotherun) in the past, but more recently I came to him with a unique musical direction and vision. His wisdom and skill helped shape the project into something beautiful and intricate. He always makes sure the songs stand on their own. And of course, the hangs were always solid.
Josh has an incredible sense of pulling the best out of an artist.
From pre-production, all the way through mix, Josh is in tune with the absolute needs of what the record requires. He has a keen sense of what's on point and relevant, and makes sure to pull the project into the modern. Great sounds, great arrangements, and great person to work with day in and day out! One of the best.Working with Josh was one of the best experiences I have had in the studio in my 10+ years as a performing artist. His insight and creative producing helped guide and evolve my songs into a finished product that I envisioned and I'm proud to share with anyone. His ear for quality and organically capturing the sounds you're aiming for is inspiring to work with and refreshing...
Niles is a class act producer/engineer & mixer. We've (Cloverton) have worked with him for our past three records and we couldn't be happier. Never have we met someone who really can take a vision of a project, understand what the artist is trying to achieve & then push it to new and higher limits. Plus he's a great dude. We are HUGE Josh fans and would highly recommend anyone to work with him.
I've been working with Niles on various projects of mine and others for 10 years now. I'm constantly challenged and inspired by his ideas, work ethic, and his production/engineering/mixing expertise. I highly recommend Niles if you've been looking for someone who won't settle for anything sub par or average. He's always striving to help accomplish your dream and beyond what you imagined.
Niles produced, engineered and mixed my debut album. The first day in the studio I realized he is insane at what he does and genuinely wants to help you create the most amazing sound. It was such a great experience, I highly recommended working with him.
I am fortunate to get to master a lot of music that comes through Niles' hands. As a producer, it's always well thought-out and arranged. As an engineer, he knows his room and console extremely well, and he has an amazing vibe - sonically and esthetically. His mixes have tons of punch/vibe/dynamic range. I highly recommend him-
Niles is an amazing engineer and producer and my only complaint is that I didn't get to work with him longer.
