Anne Marie is amazing vocalist with a radio-ready tone and is very easy to work with. Can work out and knock out three part harmonies for any melody in a matter of seconds. I worked with Anne Marie on a music project over a few weeks' time.
I was immediately taken with her infectious, positive demeanor. She brings a great toolbox of musical knowledge and experience.

I worked with A.M. on several songs where she did multi-tracking vocals at a professional studio located in the Bay Area. She was conscientious, enthusiastic, a quick learner, easy to work with, a total pleasure. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I'm especially proud of an LP I released with my friends, titled "ISO." I wrote every song [except one], and was in charge of the vocal production on each of those songs.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm working on an LP that will consist of 10 songs, and also in collaboration with 3 different rappers.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Yes!
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Analog. I'm a big fan of warmth. It just feels better.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to execute my vocals to the best of my ability, and to do as many edits it takes, until clients are 100% happy with my performance.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I like it when clients are thoroughly happy with my delivery, and that they can move forward with confidence in their songs.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Do you sing full-time? - I'm working towards this goal. Do you record your own vocals? - Yes
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That singing doesn't pay the bills, and that it is impossible to make a full-time living, creating and producing music.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What style would you like me to sing in? Was there any particular artist you'd want me to mimic? What's the deadline? Would you like me to harmonies and ad libs?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: The more specific you are with your requests and instructions, the better we both can communicate, and the more quickly your project will be finished.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started singing professionally in 1998, and haven't looked back!
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Raspy, soulful and dynamic.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with Pharrell Williams because he's produced a wide array of artists, he's produced music that I highly resonate with, and he seems like a fun and energetic person to be around and to collaborate with in the studio.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: When it comes to music production, it is important to turn down the voice of our inner critic so that we can create with intention and find inspiration, even on days when we aren't feeling particularly inspired.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: R&B, Pop, Jazz, Hip Hop, and alternative.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is being able to record vocals in a timely manner, in the exact way the client wants these vocals sung, as long as I've given the right guidance and constructive feedback.

A: I bring: * positive energy * purpose * meaning * emotion * intention * dynamics
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My typical work process looks like this: * Establish the exact needs of my client * Acquire the song that I will be providing vocals for * Obtain the melodies and lyrics I will be singing * Determine the exact desired style and vibe of the singing * Track 3-5 takes of the my clients' vocal requests * Send these takes to client and await feedback & further instructions * Continue the tracking process until clients are 110% satisfied with my performance
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I do all my recording sessions with my Macbook Pro and Avantone Pro microphone. My microphone runs through an SSL channel strip that lives in a Neve chassis To record dry and clear vocals, I use a portable vocal booth that efficiently absorbs reverb, thanks to its thick sound-absorbing blankets that reduce sound reflections significantly.
