Great job and fantastic feeling! I just love her work! Much better than I was expected! Very concentrated on the result and very professional musician with her own sound. Very creative in ad-libs and backs, big range of voice, hearttuching intonation, very fast and precise. Highly reccomend!
I am happy to say that she is professional singer with a stile and soul. Very nice attitude and attention on all steps of project. Highly recommend noon.wav !
A perfect singer who can absolutely get me what i need. I'll have to comeback again next time for her!
Noon transformed my song in the most incredible way. She brought her own ideas to help spice-up my existing arrangement, and it really helped the song overall. Also her voice is lovely, vibrant, and moves effortlessly from note to note. If you need a creative female vocalist for your song, she's the best!
Noon is excellent to work with! Understood directions quickly and adjusted accordingly quickly too!
Beautiful results on the main and background vocals with a quick turnaround. Love that!
I highly recommend Noon!
We had a wonderful experience working with noon. She has both the technical and musical qualities we were looking for. She sings with presence and warmth. Highly recommended!
noon has a wonderful smooth voice and excels at her vocal arrangements. She delivered backing vocals for one of my songs and showed a great understanding of style, melody and arrangement. It was a joy to go through the files she sent me and hear how she arranged the vocals.
what a find! noon.wav put a lot of creativity into the recordings, came up with absolutely dope ideas and the execution has been highly professional. thanks for everything - highest recommendation
I needed a soulful vocal line in spanish, and got in touch with Noon. She went beyond what I asked for, delivering additional melodies enhancing the overall song. Her voice is amazing and beautiful, don't hesitate to work with her!
Firstly, Noon was pretty quick with the delivery. And she has an amazing voice and excellent musical confidence. Loved the vocal melody she came up with. It was excellent working with her!
Noon is an exceptional singer and a pleasure to work with. She understood my direction and gave me a recording in well under the time I gave her to do it. When I asked for edits, I received a revision within the hour. Her voice is smooth and on key; I highly recommend working with her.
Interview with noon.wav
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Again, bensburner's track was the best project I've worked on here. My role was writing lyrics, melody and singing and arranging backing harmonies. I was given the backing track and was completely free to do my thing.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm working on my first EP whilst still working on here with various clients.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: bensburner !! A great example of trusting me without giving many instructions. A huge bop was the result.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both are wonderfully unexplored in many ways. Always use both.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: If I agree to work with you I'm going to work hard. I've never liked to give back mediocre results.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: It's the one form of expression that makes me forget what time it is.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: I've mentioned before that sometimes I work better with less instructions. Costumers tend to ask if I need various things, as pre-arranged backing vocals, music sheets, etc.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: On a more serious level, I often get costumers asking me to do a million things for a very low price. I think some people don't realize the complexity and depth of making music (for example arranging harmonies). It saddens me to know that it is seen as something so magical and instant when you've been working for years to get to a certain level.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: what brings you to this magical creature?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: There is no need to give clear instructions when working on a project, if you are willing to really work with me as an artist.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: don't do that to me
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been singing and thinking IN music for forever. Started composing seriously when I was around 17 I guess.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Soft strong soft strong soft strong soft strong lilac orange lilac orange lilac orange lilac orange cute
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Again, Eloise, Lizzy McAlpine, dodie, also I have to say Jacob Collier of course... Charlie Puth? One day.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don't focus so much on the plugins you have, the music theory you know, the things you think people wanna hear, etc. There are things only you can study, and that is knowing what feels right to you, I believe that those are the things that are gonna make you different from the rest. Also when recording backing vocals with lyrics: DONT TRY TO PRONOUNCE, you will sound stupid when solo, but if you avoid consonants you will avoid lots of problems :-)
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I'm on the R&B, jazz, soul, pop spectrum, but really I just go with what comes out of me in the moment. I can shape into most genres without losing my identity.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: As I've mentioned before, making up backing harmonies is one of my strongest skills, I'm also pretty quick when transcribing music and learning songs.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I believe I can add color, air and softness to any song. I'm usually very creative when it comes to backing vocals.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I normally learn the song/track, play around with the basic harmonic structure and start building melodies, harmonies etc. Most of the times I end up recording quite a lot of harmonies for the tracks, but that's one of the main reasons why people tend to hire me.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work in my home studio. I use the Shure Sm7b microphone and have the necessary equipment and acoustic treatment in my room for the audios to sound professional.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I'm mostly inspired by artists like Eloise, Bruno Major, Lizzy McAlpine, dodie, Dora Jar, etc. All time favorites: Stevie Wonder, the Beatles and Billie Holiday
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I usually sing and/or compose lead vocals, backing harmonies and ad-libs. I can also play piano and work with some MIDI instruments.
