Great job and fantastic feeling! I just love her work! Much better than I was expected! Very concentrated on the result and very professional musician with her own sound. Very creative in ad-libs and backs, big range of voice, hearttuching intonation, very fast and precise. Highly reccomend!

Noon transformed my song in the most incredible way. She brought her own ideas to help spice-up my existing arrangement, and it really helped the song overall. Also her voice is lovely, vibrant, and moves effortlessly from note to note. If you need a creative female vocalist for your song, she's the best!

noon has a wonderful smooth voice and excels at her vocal arrangements. She delivered backing vocals for one of my songs and showed a great understanding of style, melody and arrangement. It was a joy to go through the files she sent me and hear how she arranged the vocals.

Noon is an exceptional singer and a pleasure to work with. She understood my direction and gave me a recording in well under the time I gave her to do it. When I asked for edits, I received a revision within the hour. Her voice is smooth and on key; I highly recommend working with her.

Interview with noon.wav

  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: I'm working on my own music projects whilst working on here

  3. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  4. A: Both are wonderfully unexplored in many ways.

  5. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  6. A: On a more serious level, I often get costumers asking me to do a million things for a very low price. I think some people don't realize the complexity and depth of making music (for example arranging harmonies). It saddens me to know that it is seen as something so instant and quick. It takes timeeee

  7. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  8. A: I've been singing and listening carefully for forever. Started taking it seriously when I was around 17 I guess.

  9. Q: How would you describe your style?

  10. A: Soft strong soft strong soft strong soft strong lilac orange lilac orange lilac orange lilac orange pink

  11. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  12. A: Again, Daniel Caesar, Caroline Polachek, Eloise, Lizzy McAlpine, also I have to say Jacob Collier... Charlie Puth?

  13. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  14. A: Poppy people say I'm jazzy, jazzy people say I'm poppy. I personally don't understand music genres

  15. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  16. A: I work in my home studio. I use the Shure Sm7b microphone and have acoustic treatment in my room.

  17. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  18. A: I'm mostly inspired by artists like Daniel Caesar, Sufjan Stevens, Lizzy McAlpine, Caroline Polachek, Dora Jar, etc. as well as my all time favourites: Stevie Wonder, the Beatles, Billie Holiday, Caetano Veloso, etc.

  19. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  20. A: Again, bensburner's track was the best project I've worked on here. My role was writing lyrics, melody and singing and arranging backing harmonies. I was given the backing track and was completely free to do my thing.

  21. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  22. A: bensburner !! A great example of trusting me without giving many instructions. A huge bop was the result.

  23. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  24. A: If I agree to work with you I'm going to work hard. I've never liked to give back mediocre results.

  25. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  26. A: It's the one form of expression that makes me forget what time it is.

  27. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  28. A: I've mentioned before that sometimes I work better with less instructions. Costumers tend to ask if I need various things, as pre-arranged backing vocals, music sheets, etc.

  29. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  30. A: what brings you to this magical creature?

  31. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  32. A: There is no need to give clear instructions when working on a project, if you are willing to really work with me as an artist.

  33. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  34. A: don't do that to me

  35. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  36. A: Don't focus so much on the plugins you have, the music theory you know, the things you think people wanna hear, etc. There are things only you can study, and that is knowing what feels right to you, I believe that those are the things that are gonna make you different from the rest. Also when recording backing vocals with lyrics: DONT TRY TO PRONOUNCE, you will sound stupid when solo, but if you avoid consonants you will avoid lots of problems :-)

  37. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  38. A: As I've mentioned before, making up backing harmonies is one of my strongest skills, I'm also pretty quick when transcribing music and learning songs.

  39. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  40. A: I believe I can add color, air and softness to any song. I'm usually very creative when it comes to backing vocals.

  41. Q: What's your typical work process?

  42. A: I normally learn the song/track, play around with the basic harmonic structure and start building melodies, harmonies etc. Most of the times I end up recording quite a lot of harmonies for the tracks, but that's one of the main reasons why people tend to hire me.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: I usually sing and/or compose lead vocals, backing harmonies and ad-libs. I can also play piano and work with some MIDI instruments.
