Dmitriy Sevostyanov on SoundBetter

My goal is to bring out the best of each artist I work with. I believe that the mix isn't finished until you're 100% satisfied.

My name is Dmitriy Sevostyanov, I am a musician and a producer. I specialize in rock music, which i'm fond of very much.

The main focus of my work is mixing and mastering. I am happy to do both for you. I use the highest quality plugins to bring your music to life.

I am also available for programming realistic drums and bass, using the highest quality samples.

I am also experienced as a producer and I am happy to spice up your track with added layers of synths, orchestra, whatever it needs.

Ultimately your vision is what is most important. My goal is to help you achieve your goals in sound, production etc. That's why I will always offer revisions until you are 100% satisfied with the finished product!

If you'll let me, I will make your music become the best version of itself.

Looking forward to working with you!

Dmitry produced my track. He helped me all the way from the idea of the song to the final master version of the track! Very professional, without unnecessary difficulties. Planning to work with him again.

We did a heavy metal song with Dmitriy - it was a pleasure working with him and we're quite satisfied with the result. We'll definitely be doing our next song with him =)

Interview with Dmitriy Sevostyanov

  1. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  2. A: I love the process of transforming a song from a demo into a full song. There are no universal recipes, and each song has its own unique transformation path. If the recipe is found and all the necessary operations have been done, I am satisfied with my work.

  3. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  4. A: All kinds of Rock, Metal music

  5. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  6. A: Depends on the task - if I act as a producer and I have a complete carte blanche - then I try to improve the material by all available means, such as finalizing the arrangement, adding parts with backing vocals, placing accents in the structure of the song, etc. When only mixing a song is required, the boundaries of my influence on the material are significantly narrower, and I try to get the maximum quality out of the recorded material.

  7. Q: What's your typical work process?

  8. A: To begin with, I ask the client what vision of the finished result he has, and I try to understand for myself which path should be followed in mixing or producing. Then, together with the client, we define several references that can be used as landmarks for certain parameters of the song (space, place of vocals in the mix, sound of instruments, etc.)

  9. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  10. A: I work in Studio One 5, as monitoring system I use "N-monitors" X-600, in conjunction with a tannoy TS-10 subwoofer. As the second pair -JBL LSR 305 and Sennheiser HD 650 headphones. Microphone park - Shure sm 7b, sE Electronics 2200 II, Audiotechnica At 2020, Shure sm57. Guitars: Shecter sls c-1 blackjack, Yamaha pacifica, Ibanez btb 605bg (bass guitar)

  11. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  12. A: Periphery, David Maxim Micic, Metallica

  13. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  14. A: Mixing and and producing songs. I love this feeling - when you see the potential of a song, and roughly understand what you can improve and fix so that it sounds high quality, powerful and strong.
