Anjuli was an absolute pleasure to work with. She did an amazing job on my production and finished it in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend working with her and look forward to working with her again in the near future!
Anjuli killed her verse. I’m ready to do another song with her.
Having worked with and known Anjuli’s work for years all I can say is that Anjuli is one of the hardest working and talented people in the industry. She will deliver for you and has one of the best lyrical chops out there. Her singing range and capability are solid every single time. Thank you always Anjuli for what you bring to the table and can’t wait to be able to create again in the future!
Worked with her as a lyricist for a Sync Brief I produced, and she went above and beyond to execute the song exactly how I needed it to be done. I've already worked on two other project since then, and will definitely think of her for upcoming peojects

Interview with Anjuli Apelu
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to be involved in a Kendrick Lamar project one day. I think his style is rich, dynamic and entirely unpredictable.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Hip-Hop, Pop, Acoustic, Reggae/Dancehall, R&B/Soulful Pop
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Vocal performance & Songwriting
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: If you want high quality work, review the providers bio and listen to their work. Ultimately the quality of the music should speak for itself. If you have any doubts about what you're hearing, it's probably not executed at the highest level possible or you're simply not a fan of their work. No matter where you lay on the spectrum of musical experience, trust your own intuition when selecting a provider.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I wrote an acoustic ballad when I was in college called "Raindrops". It was a sad song I wrote about my friend who was queer and in love with a woman, but was hiding it from her family and friends. It ended up landing on Pitbull's album "El Mariel" and he used it to memorialize the death of his father and best friend. I think that was a really special moment for me because I realized how powerful music is and how it can mean different things to different people.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm working in collaboration on several projects for TV/Film, getting ready to release some of my own music, as well as contributing songwriting to my clients projects.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I love both but digital is what I work with everyday.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: My promise is to deliver to my clients top quality vocals/songwriting and deliver it on time. If for any reason I'm unable to provide it on time, you will receive a full refund.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The creativity, collaboration and delivering beyond the clients expectations.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How long will this take? My answer depends on the clients timeline vs. the work involved.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That it's easy. It may come naturally, but it's far from easy. There's an incredible amount of time, love and energy that goes into making any body of work into something beautiful and timeless.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Depends on the project, but generally I like to ask for references, song concepts/themes and get a general feel of what they are trying to achieve.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: acoustic guitar, microphone, speaker, mini effects board, a power source.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been performing since age 4, recording since age 13, songwriting since age 14 and completed my first fully produced, mixed and mastered 3-song demo at 18 years old.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: soulful, street, conscious, fire
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Less is more unless more is more.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring 20+ years of experience, development and execution of professional songwriting and vocal performance services.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: It completely varies project to project.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Neumann TLM 102 vocal mic, Logic Pro to record my vocals, UA Apollo Twin, HS5 Monitors, Sony headphones.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley, Carlos Santana, India Aire, Lauryn Hill, Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, Nas, A Tribe Called Quest, Mos Def, Common, Talib Kweli, J. Cole, Cee-Lo, D’angelo, J. Dilla, The Roots, Salaam Remi, Frank Ocean, Bryson Tiller, Jhene Aiko.
