Mixing to capture, amplify, and enhance the essence of your unique song. I treat every song individually and craft the mix to maximize its potential
Music Mixing:
Multitrack and 2-Track mixing, as well as Stem Mixing which is a great option to enhance your songs for sync libraries.
Vocal Editing/Tuning/Alignment:
Clean any errant clicks or pops, get rid of plosives and background noises, reduce hiss or room tone, etc. It's not necessary for every song, but I usually recommend it to make sure you get the cleanest results.
Tuning using Melodyne to transparently get your vocal takes in tune.
Vocal alignment to bring more cohesion to your backing tracks and harmonies.
Podcast Editing/Mixing:
Deliver a polished, professional sound free of distractions to your audience. Give an easy listening experience with consistent volume levels and clean audio.
Audio Cleanup/Restoration:
For any audio that leaves much to be desired. I improve poor audio quality primarily using iZotope RX.

Interview with Ricardo Lurnid
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: It's all in the box - Pro Tools, iZotope RX, plugins from various manufacturers including UAD, Fab Filter, Sonnox, Tone Projects, Leapwing, TDR, etc. I mix primarily on headphones (Audeze) and reference on several consumer headphones and speakers. I use a room simulator to get an accurate perception of the mix while using headphones
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Let me know if you want my take on your song, or an enhanced version of your vision
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been working with audio since I was a young teen. My career path has involved audio in some respect since I was out of highschool, be it video and audio editing, podcast editing, immersive audio dramas, or music production and mixing
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Organize all the files in the session, see what needs any cleanup or editing, and then usually start balancing the levels of the mix with the vocals. Make any EQ/compression/saturation moves, then add in any reverbs or delays, and finish out with any bus processing and automation
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Move off the grid!
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Editing, or knowing what needs to be there and what doesn't. This relates to frequencies, transients, reverbs, etc., not actually removing pieces of music
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital for ease and wallet
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Bringing joy to people by giving them a realized version of their song
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: How many tracks is your song? How long is it? Do you need any editing or tuning? Do you have reference tracks? BPM? Deadline?
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: I work 100% in the box, so my computer, headphones, interface, generator, and an uninterruptible power supply
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Polished Knock
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: R&B, Pop, Hip Hop, Soul, Jazz
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Serban Ghenea, Manny Marroquin, Neal Pogue, Noah "40" Shebib
