Interview with Hogland

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been producing music for 11 years and I've had music production as a full time job for the past 3 years. I've released songs / been a part of songs that has been released on some of the biggest labels within EDM such as Sony Music, Helix Records, STMPD RCRDS, Universal Music.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring a crispy and professional sound combined with the right melodies and feeling.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: If the vocal is good, don't kill it with your production, just build around the vocal and make everything fit.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Electronic dance music.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is definitely coming up with catchy melodies.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I'm sitting in a soundproof studio, equipped with a pair of Genelec 8330 SAM monitors and a Genelec 7350a subwoofer. Using an Apollo twin soundcard as well as a Slate Digital VMS Microphone.
