High quality R&B/funk/soul/jazzy guitar tracks with an unlimited amount of revisions and quick turnaround time - I don't want to stop unless you are satisfied!
I am a studio and live session guitarist based in Vancouver, BC with a love for collaborating and creating music with other artists!
Throughout the past eight years, I have been exposed to so many different kinds of music, artists and producers. I have played thousands of gigs and recording sessions in that time and I am always learning from every experience that I get. I have grown to really love the guitar's role in particular genres such as R&B, Funk, Pop, Hip-Hop and Soul music and I have been lucky enough to find myself immersed in a community where I can hone those skills.
The creative process of pinpointing where a guitar should fit in a song is one that I find incredibly engaging and rewarding and I would love the opportunity to help your art come to life!

Endorse Alvin BrendanI'm a producer/engineer in Vancouver and have worked with Alvin for many years. I have never left a session without getting what I wanted and more while saving time with how well versed his ear is and how fast he can translate your ideas.
I highly recommend working with Alvin. I have booked him on multiple songs and sessions - what sets him apart are his listening skills and serving the song first. He brings a freshness to the vibe that I really like and is extremely versatile for many styles.
I truly cannot recommend this guy enough. I’m a producer working in the same city as alvin and I can honestly say he’s my favourite guitar player I’ve ever worked with. His versatility, melodic ear and, most importantly, his pocket, is comparable to the international session players we all aspire to sound like. The man is a legend. 5 stars.
Interview with Alvin Brendan
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will not consider a project finished until you are completely happy with the result!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The people :)
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started playing guitar when I received a guitar on my 6th birthday and that started it at all. I attended Capilano University for Jazz Studies and while I was student I was lucky enough to meet many different talented artists in a bunch of different genres. From there, those connections grew and I have been able to keep a consistent schedule of gigging and recording since then!
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Rhythmic and grooving with a lot of emphasis on responding what else is happening texturally in a song!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Mostly groove oriented music - R&B, Neo Soul, Pop, Funk, Soul, Afrobeat, Hip-Hop. I love music that can make you want to shake your butt, but I also have a deep love in Folk, Bluegrass and Rock music!
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I believe that I have a strong instinct of where the guitar should fit sonically, melodically and texturally in a song. I aim to craft guitar parts that are memorable, tasteful and serve the song. I find that tasteful can very sparse, very rhythmic, in the background, or right up front and busy! Taste is subjective and can absolutely vary depending on the song, production or genre - and I absolutely love the process in finding this out!
