  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: "I'm one of those multitasking artists who handles all their work. I write my lyrics, compose my songs, record them, mix, and master them, all 100% done by me, thanks to the free time. Mixing is my strong suit because it's what I could formally study, but I can do multiple things in the music industry. Just tell me what you need, and I'll let you know if I can do it.

  4. A: I´m a customer service on Airbnb and I´m starting my musical project

  8. A: Digital: Infinite possibilities, more cost-effective, plus analog is emulable nowadays, so I prefer digital 100%.

  10. A: If my sound don´t like you, I will refund your money

  12. A: Listening to the outcome once the mix is finished.

  14. A: How much longer will the mix take? Can you make my voice sound more present? Why are the keyboards barely audible?" The answer to all of these is: "Let me review it and send it to you as you want it, then you can choose from what I showed you first.

  16. A: "I struggle with imposter syndrome and never feel good enough, but we are working on improving that

  20. A: Be as specific as possible when searching for your unique sound, and if you use a reference, let it guide the mixing engineer in giving the sound its own personality. Also, avoid copying that reference 100%.

  24. A: I have worked on creating demos and mock-ups for local bands in my city. Additionally, I have mixed some live shows at my university for institutional presentations. I have been mixing and creating musical arrangements for nearly 10 years.

  26. A: Sometimes it's as raw as a scream, and other times it's as soft as a major chord. My style depends on the sound I'm aiming for.

  34. A: Find the sweet spot for the songs

  36. A: I enhance the song's overall sound and emotional impact. I make sure all the instruments and vocals work well together and create a pleasing listening experience. My goal is to make the song sound great and resonate with listeners.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: 1 Find a reference mix to guide the process and aim for a commercially competitive sound. 2 Review project settings (Tempo, key, sample rate/bit depth) to align with client-provided information. 3 Begin audio editing, removing unwanted noise, quantizing to match the project tempo, and leveling volumes. 4 Work on mix levels using faders, considering gain staging. 5 Apply processing, starting with compression, followed by subtractive EQ, and then adding saturation or additive EQ as needed to enhance the mix further. 6 Add modulation effects to alter the signal's character (Chorus, flanger, phaser, vocal doubler, etc.). Include spatial effects like reverb and/or delay. 7 Automate if necessary, adjusting volume or effect parameters. 8 Export the finalized mix for mastering.
