Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I once wrote a complete song in 20 minutes, we produced it too and it became French Big Brother TV show theme
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am working on some Nu Soul, some funk and pop .. plus some loops

A: music

A: people ask for my price .. I usually try and offer a deal
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: that it is quick and easy ... sometimes on occasion it is
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I ask prospective clients if they have particular expectations in terms of drum patters or fills. I ask if the project is financed or self financed
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: remember that in the unlikely event you are not happy - you do not have to pay
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: a 5 piece drum kit
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started playing in band and gigging aged 13. I signed a record deal at 22, toured. Then joined a band with a No1, toured the USA and Australia. Then joined another band - supported Michael Jackson, Prince, James Brown and more. I had a production company and wrote songs that were released internationally, on TV, film and a had gold record

A: my style is solid in the pocket driving groove

A: ... pff :)
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: I get a good sounding 'source'
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work on rock, funk, soul, pop - songs and instrumental
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill I hope is to play what the music requires ..and give it some 'chemical X"
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring years of experience which should lift the music to a next level. This will either be obvious or subtle.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I usually receive a track with some guidance from the sender. I listen to the track, make some notes, play along and then record the drum idea and send back an MP3 for further guidance. I then record 3 takes and send the audio files back.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I use Logic Pro, Sontronics microphones and Universal audio
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am inspired by anyone with a great idea or a great 'finished' piece of music

A: I record drums for peoples music (songs, instrumentals, loops, samples)
