As seen on American Idol. Kerry impressed all three judges(Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick jr, and Keith Urban) with his unique style.

This is my second time working with Kerry. Once again, he was amazing. He has an incredible voice and was very responsive and open to suggestions. I look forward to working with him again!!!
Working with Kerry was a pleasure! He nailed everything I asked for and has an amazing voice. He was also very gracious about making tweaks according to my requests. He was always prompt in replying and I would definitely work with him again!
Kerry is a great singer and a really nice guy. It was a pleasure working with him.
I can't even begin to explain what a wonderful experience it was to have Kerry do one of our songs. His vocal was beautiful first time out, and he is one of the nicest people I have ever worked with, totally professional, and super easy to work with. He totally got the idea of the song and delivered it perfectly. I hope he will agree to do some of our other songs in the future.
Kerry is a hidden treasure of the vocalist community. His voice has a unique pang of soul to it that I just absolutely love. He truly cares about the music we make together, and it shows in the end product. For anything I write in the indie-pop genre, Kerry is my guy. Not even a contest.
Kerry's voice is something special! It's unique and full of raw emotion and you just can't help but feel things when he sings. He absolutely brought my track to life and I can't recommend him highly enough. It was so easy working with him and communication was top notch from the start of the project. Get this guy on your song, I promise you will not regret it!
Kerry is an incredible singer and an inarguable king of his genre! He was easy to work with, kind, and delivered a passionate performance. This man truly cares about music and it shows.
Because there is an unwritten rule that you'd only give less than 5 stars on soundbetter if you had a seriously negative experience, it's hard to accurately weigh the talent of people on this site. But Kerry truly deserves all 5 of these stars and more! I've been very fortunate to have him on my team.
Kerry is one hell of a singer, and is a pleasure to work with. If you are a producer, Kerry's voice instantly sits well in a mix and requires minimal processing because his tone, pitch, and delivery are usually spot on. If you're a songwriter, Kerry is full of great melody, harmony, and lyrical ideas. A 5-star collaborator.
Incredible musician with taste, range, and skill. You simply won’t go wrong bringing Kerry on to your project
Working closely with Kerry over the years, I can honestly say he artistically brings to life everything he touches. One of the most unique voices in the alternative/indie/pop space. You won't find a more authentic hardworking vocalist/writer. The guys sings with pure conviction. Such a pleasure working with him!
5/5 stars all the way.
I have worked with Kerry multiple times in studio/live shows and have nothing but great vibes. He’s an incredible singer, songwriter, and most importantly easy to work with. His writing style is extremely unique in its detail and always feels genuine in its delivery. I would highly recommend him to anybody looking for some different musical perspective.
Amazing composer with every musical piece he touches. He’s not from earth.
Interview with Kerry Courtney
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: My good friend Jon Hill (rip) made an album with several talented/prolific singer/songwriters and each song featured a different singer/songwriter. I was blessed enough to write, sing, and produce the vocals for a track. The album is called “Rebirth” and it’s under “The Job Hill Project, and I highly recommend you check that out. You’ll most likely recognize several of the singer/songwriters featured.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I’m writing/producing/recording my next album and I’m in the middle of several collabs that I’m excited about!
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I’ve chosen the digital route, personally! I’m in and out of different studios constantly that are digital or analog and I have respect for both views. The folks that put a lot of time in studying analog gear are really inspiring to me.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I ask them what are some artists that have inspired the work they’re currently creating to get a better picture of who they are as an artist.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Patrick Watson. The way he combines orchestral elements in his music has always been so inspiring to me.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: One of the most important tips I would give to anyone producing an instrument or song would be to make sure that whatever it is you’re creating is authentic and sincere. If you create something with authenticity, it’ll sound so much better than trying to sound like something that’s not sincere. And folks will hear the inauthenticity.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Patrick Watson is my favorite composer. The way he writes has always inspired me to go into depth with anything I create. Some other artists would be Sufjan Stevens, Thom Yorke, Jonsi, Gregory Alan Isakov, Greg Laswell, etc
