I specialise in music editing, beat correction editing ( Adjusting warp markers to align a song to grid ), and podcast editing.
Hi, my name is Engin Hassan. I have been an audio editor for over 20 years now. I cut my teeth when I first started working for dance pioneers Coldcut. They hired me to start editing their extensive sample library. Here I got awesome experience creating audio loops and oneshots for these musicians / DJ's to use in their tracks. I have solid experience in the following areas -
Sample editing and looping. Creating loops and oneshots for sample libraries or collections. Or mining long sections of audio to pull out usable loops or oneshots.
General music editing. I have edited many tracks to do things like -
Fix tempo errors ( Quantizing )
Take out or remove sections of songs using tight edits or a crossfade.
Edit songs down to a shorter version cleanly.
Grid correction on non dance tracks. Using Ableton Live warp markers to make old and new songs align perfectly to the grid so DJ's can use them in their DJ mixes.
Podcast and dialogue editing. I have edited and mastered podcast episodes for many clients now, with my client list growing.
I would love to help you get your audio sounding just how you want it. Please do reach out with any questions.

Endorse EditfadewarpEngin helps me edit/master podcast interviews as needed. He does a great job, communicates clearly, is professional/easy to work with, and charges affordable rates for someone with his advanced level of experience. We have worked on at least 6 podcast episodes together since March 2024. If you want a competent and confident audio editor, work with Engin.
Have worked with Engin for many years and hes been a solid engineer and track/ sample hunter and editor. He has great ears and works efficiently. Also as an ambient artist in his own right, I appreciate his music. Highly recommend him.
Interview with Editfadewarp
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Working on the extensive Coldcut sample library at the beginning and ongoing when they were adding new material. I was involved in creating great loops and sounds, and then had the pleasure of hearing them play them back in a live setting.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am working on finishing arrangements on some of my own Ambient music.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I have used a freelancer called Lars to master some of my Ambient tracks. I would recommend him to others, and I will use him again.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I only work in the digital domain because of the nature of my work.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will do my very best with the work you have entrusted me with. If I feel I cant meet your expectation or cannot do what you ask for, I will tell you upfront.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The satisfaction of editing / processing audio files and delivering clean results that meets the clients expectations.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How soon can you turn this around?. It depends how busy I am, but I try to turn things around in a couple of days.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Thats tricky with what I do specifically. I suppose a lot of people think we can work magic with audio and really separate instruments and parts cleanly, as well as remove all noise. I certainly can do a pretty good job of those, but sometimes its not possible to meet expectations. These things are getting more possible to do.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: As much as I can upfront to get the job done well. Things along the lines of - How thorough do you want me to be with the editing / warping on your audio What guidelines can you give me regarding your work so that I do this the way you want it What format / bitrate etc do you want the file / files returned in How soon do you want this turned around
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: I advise them to prepare all materials in as high a format as possible and with as clear a brief as possible, so i can do the best job for them.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: I do most of the stuff 'in the box' so to speak so I guess - My Mac My Adam Speakers My UA Soundcard My Fender Strat My Portable Zoom Field Recorder
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I got into the underground club scene in the early 90's. I met Matt Black from Coldcut then who was doing ground breaking things. When I told him I had bought a PC with a good soundcard, he started giving me work right away, working on their sound library. From there i slowly built more clients and gathered new skills. I have been at it around 25 years now.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: With my editing and warp marker work, i am pretty regimented and try to work to a process that has yeilded results. I am always open to improving and leave wiggle room for creative tweeks and tweaking where needed to accommodate clients who work a certain way.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: There are many, but i would love to work with Brian Eno and see what makes him tick in the studio.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Be super organised with your tools / apps and automate ( where its possible to ) as much as you can to save time and save energy for the more creative tasks.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Electronic, Dance, Soul, Funk, Rock, Pop, World
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Audio Editing
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: As an editor / warp marker creator, I bring solid timing and accuracy where the client finds they hear some timing issues and needs someone with my expertise to clear it up.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: This depends on what I am doing, but most of my work brings me to Ableton Live primarily. Where I edit files to clean up audio, create loops, or warp tracks using Warp markers. I make my own music and remix music also.
