Session Bassist and Beyond!

My second job with David and it was incredible. I knew I needed a bass track but I didn't have an idea for a bass aside but David PERFECTLY captured what I couldn't hear myself! As always, he plays for the song, which is most important. But he even picked up on and bought some 80s/90s R&B vibes that were so often characteristic of this type of 80s inspired ballad I wrote. His knowledge of genre is spot on. Love David's work!

My second time working with David in as many weeks. A total pro. No revisions, just as last time. He gets the groove, get gets the song. He's tasteful where needed but always respectful of the song. This one was particularly fun. He really bought character to this song and added grooves and personality where I'd asked. Super fun!

Just as David's bio says, the bass tracks drop right into the mix perfectly. I booked David to play bass on three songs. I provided David mixed with MIDI bass notes and asked him to replace those with real bass to add some "flavor" here and there. His playing is tight and in the pocket. II love and appreciate that he respected the songs and their parts but tastefully added some extra notes, slides and movements that really enhance the songs. No revisions required. Great bass tone too!
