I master music at Aeonica Studio using boutique analog gear, blending warmth with modern clarity. This service delivers loud, clean, and emotionally powerful tracks—ready for release. This isn’t a mass-market service—it’s handcrafted, high-end mastering at a price that respects both the art and the artist. It’s music made with love.
For my own productions, I collaborate with other SoundBetter providers—something you’ll see reflected in the reviews. My main offering here is analog mastering, with a focus on electronic music, though I’m open to all genres.
With over 20 years of experience producing electronic music—and having run a label and digital distribution platform—I’ve developed a deep passion for audio and sound design. I created Aeonica to explore music across genres and open up my studio to artists who want to benefit from a high-end analog setup without the premium price tag.
This isn’t about scale or churning through jobs—I don’t rely on this to make a living. It’s a labour of love. My goal is to work with likeminded souls who care deeply about their music—and want it to move people.
If that resonates with you, I’d love to hear from you.

We send him a complicated mix and he mastered it outstanding good. He took time to make the right decision to bring our song to the professional level. We are extremely happy. We can suggest him without any hesitations

I loved every second working on Sander's song. Even though bittersweet it was a beautiful track with awesome lyrics and melodies I enjoyed singing and writing support vocals for. This has instantly become one of my favourite projects I've been part of, so thanks for including me. Communication is of course top notch as well. I'd love to collaborate on something similar with you again in the future!

Servellen Music excels at mastering using top-notch outboard equipment. The quality of the analog gear he uses is evident in the sound, adding a unique touch that digital plugins can't replicate. I highly recommend him! Having worked with over a dozen mastering engineers for different labels, I can confidently say he has delivered the best masters I ever heard of my music. My go to ME from here on out!

Interview with Sander van Servellen
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I just upgraded the studio with the last missing pieces of analog gear and rewired everything with two digital patch-bays, so I'm ready to be super productive in producing my own music, and mastering yours :)
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I fell in love with electronic music in the 1990's as a teenager and began going to clubs and parties in Amsterdam. Those parties turned were transformative experiences for many and created a new culture. I've been producing my own music since around 2004 and recently launched Aeonica to produce various genres of music and provide high end analog mastering. You can read about Aeonica here: https://aeonica.org/about
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: For mastering it's really mostly electronic music such as techno, house, psychedelic trance, and downtempo music, though I recently did something more in the direction of pop, and do compose and produce my own rock music. I'm open to new adventures but most experienced with electronic.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I use a hybrid (analog-digital) signal path that combines carefully selected high-end analog hardware and mastering grade converters with software plugins in my studio. This gives me best of both worlds in terms of the precision and recall of digital and the warmth, harmonics and colour of analog.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Andres Klein or Bram Fidder for mastering electronic. Adam Haggar for mastering non-electronic. Mastering your own music after hearing it 500x in the same room as it was produced, is in most cases a bad idea. Fresh ears and perspective in a different room will produce best mastering results. Therefore, for my own productions I've worked with Andres, Bram and Adam, and found they are amazing professionals, and great people to work with.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both! Digital for precision and easy recall, and analog for natural saturation and harmonics created by the beautiful circuits and transformers, that are not well emulated digitally.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Harmonic
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Create a good listening environment i.e. acoustic treatment and good monitors, or at the least very good headphones, otherwise nothing you do translates well to other situations and it is near impossible to get the mix right.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Good taste ;)
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Fresh ears, passion and analog-love.

- Latest melodic techno single, out nowJan 12, 2025
Released a melodic techno single "when will we be free?" composed, and mixed in my studio, mastered by Bram Fidder. I don't believe you can or should master your own music, after hearing it 500x, in the same room as it was produced, and happily work with other mastering engineers.
