Affordable analog mastering for independent artists. Get clarity, punch and musicality from a carefully chosen hybrid digital–analog setup, backed by over two decades of music production experience. Personal attention and accessible pricing, so you can give your music the finishing care it deserves without stretching your release budget.
You’ve put time and care into your music. Giving it the finishing attention it deserves shouldn’t mean stretching your release budget. At Aeonica Music, I offer affordable analog mastering with personal attention to every track.
I’m Sander van Servellen, a producer with over two decades of music production experience and roots in Amsterdam’s underground dance scene of the 1990s. I began producing in 2004 while launching Cytopia, a pioneering digital distribution platform and label for Goa trance. My work has since grown across electronic genres and into guitar-driven music.
Aeonica Music is my independent studio and label, combining carefully chosen analog processors and high-quality converters with precise digital tools. My approach centres on tonal balance, controlled dynamics and loudness that suits the track, helping your music translate across playback systems while preserving its character and movement.
As an independent artist myself, I know how quickly release costs add up. I deliberately keep my rates low to make quality mastering accessible to artists working with smaller budgets. You’ll work directly with me, with time taken to understand your music and what you want from the master.
Send me your mix, tell me what your goals are, and share any reference tracks you have in mind. I’d love to hear what you’re working on.
Send me an email through 'Contact' button above and I'll get back to you asap.

check_circleVerified (Client)I loved every second working on Sander's song. Even though bittersweet it was a beautiful track with awesome lyrics and melodies I enjoyed singing and writing support vocals for. This has instantly become one of my favourite projects I've been part of, so thanks for including me. Communication is of course top notch as well. Interview with Aeonica Music
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Adam Haggar for mastering non-electronic music and Bram Fidder for mastering electronic music. Very different mastering engineers I've worked with, but both excellent.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Mostly mastering but sometimes also mixing
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Don’t be afraid to try a few different people—each has their own approach, workflow, and sonic signature. Focus not just on the end result, but on the communication, turnaround, and how the process feels. The right fit should make your music sound better and make you feel confident about releasing it.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Once I receive your track, I give it a focused listen in the studio. If I hear anything that could be better addressed in the mix, I’ll share that feedback—you can decide whether to revise the mix or have me work around it. From there, I design a mastering chain. I start by achieving target loudness, then shape EQ and dynamics using ears and metering. I also explore mid-side processing where helpful. After resting my ears, I do a final check across monitors and virtual environments before printing and sending the master for your review. Some tracks come together quickly, others take time to find the right chain—but in the end, it’s all about delivering a result that feels right.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I mostly master electronic genres—techno, house, downtempo, psychedelic trance—but I’m open to anything that has vibe and intention. I also compose and produce my own non-electronic music, including rock and experimental projects.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: It’s a carefully designed hybrid studio, combining mastering-grade analog hardware (Rupert Neve Designs, Wes Audio, Manley, Burl, etc.) with precision digital tools. This gives me both sonic richness and full control over recall and workflow.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. Digital offers precision and efficiency. Analog brings harmonic depth and color that’s hard to replicate.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Invest in your monitoring environment—either with acoustic treatment and quality monitors, or a trusted headphone system. If you can’t hear accurately, you can’t mix or master effectively.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Good Taste. That may sound subjective, but it’s what mastering ultimately comes down to—knowing what to touch, and what to leave alone.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Objectivity, musical sensitivity, and an analog signal chain.
