I'm a long time live and studio sound engineer, live i've worked with among others ; Grace Jones, LA Style,Rose Royce,Nina Simone,Morgan Heritage.King Bee. My studio has been build and designed as a high end tracking and mix fascillity , later i've added a masterstudio with an analog and digital signal flow.

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  8. A: Both because both have their plusses and minusses

  10. A: That we both going to be happy with the result

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: everything to do with music

  14. A: Does it need to cost this much , can't we do it for less? sometimes yes , sometimes no

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: that anybody with a laptop can do it

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: 32 years , started out as a live sound engineer and it just grew

  26. A: Terri Nunn , her voice is something else

  27. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  28. A: never to do things with an unrealistic deadline

  30. A: all kinds however no R&B

  32. A: my ears

  34. A: that depends on the artist

  35. Q: What's your typical work process?

  36. A: i start out by listening and expreimenting with mic's and preamp's and getting a feel for the recording and mixing path to follow.

  37. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  38. A: i can record a 48 channel band at once. for wich i have all mic's and extra preamp's so i can select what is best for the sound. For mixing i have all kinds of outboard available and the desk is fully automated .
