I have worked with Claire on several pieces, which had originally been written or recorded for guitar and Claire arranged them for flute and guitar. Claire is an excellent flute player and I have seen her perform live on many occasions on her livestream show. She also created a few video tracks of Australian animals accompanied by our music for flute and guitar.

Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am currently working on a project with a local art gallery to produce three original tracks which responds to other artists work for an exhibition which opens later in the year.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Kris Bradley of BoomFox Productions is note only an amazing singer, songwriter and producer but an all round awesome badass!
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital as it's super efficient, but with an understanding of what today's digital sounds are modeled on.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: That I will work closely with them to bring the vision of your project to life.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What they are looking to achieve with their project in terms of sound and style so that I produce the best possible outcome for them.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been playing the flute for over 25 years and have a Bachelor of Music degree with first class honours and an A level in music technology. I have been exploring beatbox and other extended techniques for around 6 years and have recently started exploring improvisation more and writing my own original music.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I'm a classically trained musician who is a prog rock girl at heart! I love blending classical, rock and jazz influences with unusual flute techniques to create my own sound.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: After communicating initial ideas with the client, I sketch out where I am going and share this to see if it matches with what the client is looking for. I then record and edit what's required until I'm happy with the result.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Being able to share music with others and be a part of another musicians musical world!
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Go for it! It really is exciting and highly creative to work with other musicians and we want to get the best sound possible for your project.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My flute!! My Macbook, my soundcraft mixing desk, my Audix microphone and my trusty old ipod!
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I believe that I can shape my sound to fit the mood and style of the music and commit to every note that I play.
