Delyn is a true professional and great communicator. She put up with my numerous requests for re-takes so we could get it right. Her voice has the right mixture of "softness" and "pizzazz" that I was looking for.

Very professional. Undoubtedly working with her again. Has a great voice and is one of the most hardworking singers I've gotten the pleasure to work with. Offers unlimited revisions which signifies that Delyn cares more about the final product being good and client satisfaction more than anything. Ironically I didn't even need revisions! A+++!!
Very professional, very fast and work with passion! Sure we will work again together in the future!

Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: There are no most commonly asked questions that I receive from customers. Each customer is unique in their requirements, thus questions asked.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: The advice that I would give a customer looking to hire a provider like myself would be to choose a vocalist who has heart and soul. Choose someone who will treat your project as if it were their own and who is not just doing it for the money.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I sang background vocals for a group called Beyond Atlantic. I am especially proud of this project, because I was able to merge funk, soul and rock genres.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: At the moment, I am writing and recording vocals for my second release.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: What I love most about my job is that I enjoy what I am doing so much that it does not feel like a job.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: The biggest conception about what I do in regards to singing background vocals, is that anyone can do it, which is partly true. If you want a vocalist to do more than "ooh and aah," however, laying down background vocals on a track is a little more complex. It involves some knowledge of vocal arrangement, for example, knowing when and where to place a harmony, ablibs, etc. Every song, for example, does not require three-part harmony, while other songs can benefit highly from this background vocal approach.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: There are a lot of excellent vocalists here on SoundBetter; however, I cannot recommend anyone due to the fact that I have never worked with anyone here to vouch for their work.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: The choice of analog or digital is based on the genre and personal preference.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise my clients that I will treat each project like it is my own.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Typically, any questions that I ask a prospective client is based on their specific requirements. There is no typical questions. It depends on the client's needs.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I cannot think of an artist for whom I would like to work with at this time.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The most common type of work that I do for my clients is background vocal work, which includes singing the chorus/hook, harmonies, adlibs, etc.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been singing since childhood: first as a creative outlet, then as a hobby and now as a career path.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My typical work process looks like this: 1. Confirm specifics of project (due date, file delivery requirements, creative expectations, etc.). 2. Upon project funding, request music bed track, lead vocal track and lyric sheet. 3. Complete order and return one song mix, along with unprocessed vocal seps.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: The musicians who inspire me the most are: *Adele *Sade *Alicia Keys *Stevie Nicks *The late Prince
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: If I were on a desert island, I would take my acoustic guitar, laptop and my microphone. That's all I need, really. I can do a lot with those three things. I don't really need five. Hopefully, there would be some electricity on this desert island. If not, then it would just be me and my acoustic guitar.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I would describe my style as a blend of smooth jazz, r&b and pop.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: One production tip that I have is to listen to your mix on different audio devices, including headphones, monitors, car radio, cell phone. Doing this helps you to tweak the song better.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: The type of music that I usually work on is smooth jazz, R&B and pop.

A: My strongest skill is vocal arrangement.
