Mike onyie, born in kenya, Nairobi, has been playing professionally for 8 years. His father Fredrick Awalla who is also a professional guitarist for over 30 years was his primary guitar teacher.
His main genres are bebop, Afro jazz , Funk,salsa and slow blues.he has played for james Gogo, fadhilee itulya, brian ming, keke {SA}, Sage chemutai, chris adwar, jack muguna, simply thomas, the kansoul and others..
He has also been privileged to grace the stages of festivals like SAUTI ZA BUSARA [zanzibar],ONGALA FESTIVAL [tanzania] ,KARIBU FESTIVAL [tanzania] , KOROGA FESTIVAL[kenya] ,ONGEA SUMMIT[kenya], UTAM FESTIVAL [kenya], CAKE ART AFFAIR [kenya] and others..

A: I have an original fender four strings,an Ibaneze five trings and a yamaha Rbx 4 strings.. I record using logic pro, fl studio, cubase, garage band..
