Interview with Daniel Ruiz Gómez
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have an UA Apollo System attached to a Mac Pro (Darth Vader one) with tons of plugins (Waves, SlateDigital, Universal Audio, Native Instruments, Spectrasonics...). 4 external keyboards (korg, roland, yamaha) and some guitars and basses. Neumann, Akg, Shure and Mackie stuff.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop music, Pop/Rock. Mostly mainstream music.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My technical preparation summed to my musical skills. I´m also a good sound designer.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring collaborative attitude, years of experience, innovation (always) and personal talent/infuences. I live in the South of Spain, a very special location with a lot of musical influences.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I start projects in Logic Pro and finish them in Pro Tools. I also work with Ableton Live and Personus Studio One if necessary.

A: Quincy Jones, Skrillex, Camarón, Paco de Lucía, John Mayer, Trevor Horn...
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I mostly do arrangements and produce tracks for artists and labels in Spain.
