Producer Nana was a joy to work with. I am extremely happy with the outcome and his participation on this project took the song to another level and actually took the song to what was needed. I believe this song will be a huge success. The music complimented the feel of the lyrics and message of the song. The intro blow me away and gave me such emotions of joy so I know the listener will feel that same energy. Easy to take directions, great collab. I will be working with him again definitely.

Interview with producer_nana

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: One project I’m especially proud of is ‘Blessing Find Me Here’ by Sherwin Gardner, where I worked as the beat producer. This song has been embraced worldwide and even made it to the BET charts, which is a huge milestone. Being part of a project that resonates with so many people and gains international recognition is incredibly rewarding. My role was to craft the instrumental, ensuring it had the right energy, emotion, and sonic quality to complement Sherwin’s powerful message. Seeing the song’s success reinforces my passion for creating music that inspires and connects with audiences globally.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: At the moment, I’m working on an EP with top Afrohouse artists Nes Mburu and Chuma Africa. This project blends deep African rhythms with modern soundscapes, pushing the boundaries of Afrohouse while staying true to its roots. I'm focused on crafting unique, high-energy tracks that showcase both my production style and the artists' incredible talent. It’s an exciting project, and I can’t wait to share it with the world!

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: Yes, my brother Chuma Africa he is also super talented singer & Songwriter.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: I use both analog and digital, depending on the project and the desired sound. Digital offers flexibility, precision, and efficiency, allowing me to work seamlessly across different genres and collaborate with artists worldwide. With high-quality plugins and software, I can achieve a polished, industry-standard sound. However, analog brings warmth, depth, and character that digital sometimes lacks, especially in processing, saturation, and mixing. When possible, I incorporate analog gear for richness and texture, but I always choose the best tools to serve the music and bring out its full potential

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: My promise to my clients is to deliver high-quality, industry-standard music that is both authentic and emotionally impactful. Whether it’s beat-making, songwriting, singing, or mixing & mastering, I ensure every project receives my full creativity, expertise, and attention to detail. I guarantee professionalism, clear communication, and a collaborative approach to bring your vision to life. Most importantly, I bring my signature African touch to every song, making it unique, vibrant, and globally appealing. Your success is my priority, and I won’t stop until we achieve the best possible result

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: What I love most about my job is the ability to create and shape music that resonates with people worldwide. Music is more than just sound—it's emotion, culture, and storytelling. Being able to bring an artist’s vision to life, craft unique sounds, and blend African influences into different genres is incredibly fulfilling. I also love the collaborative process, working with artists, DJs, and producers from around the world, and seeing a song evolve from an idea into a polished masterpiece. The feeling of knowing that my work can move, inspire, and connect people globally is what drives my passion every day

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Customers commonly ask me the following questions, and here’s how I answer them: Q: How much do you charge for your services? A: My pricing depends on the specific service—whether it’s beat-making, songwriting, singing, mixing & mastering, or full production. I offer different packages based on complexity, exclusivity, and turnaround time. I’m happy to discuss a custom quote based on your needs. Q: How long does it take to complete a project? A: The timeline varies depending on the scope of the project. A beat or demo can take a few days, while a fully mixed and mastered song may take a week or more. I always aim for a balance between quality and efficiency. Q: Can you create music in a specific style or genre? A: Absolutely! I specialize in Afrohouse, Afrobeat, and Amapiano but can bring an African touch to any genre. If you have references or a specific vision, I can tailor the sound to match your needs. Q: Do you offer revisions? A: Yes, I provide revisions to ensure the final product aligns with your vision. The number of revisions depends on the package chosen, but I always aim for client satisfaction. Q: Do you provide stems, project files, or exclusive rights? A: Yes, I can provide stems and project files if needed. Exclusive rights are also available for custom projects, and we can discuss the licensing details based on your requirements. Q: Can you mix and master a song I already have? A: Definitely! I offer professional mixing and mastering services to enhance the overall quality of your track and ensure it meets industry standards. Q: What if I don’t have a melody or lyrics yet? A: No problem! I can help with songwriting and melody creation from scratch. Whether you need a beat first or lyrics to build on, I can guide you through the creative process. Q: How do we communicate during the project? A: I’m available via email, WhatsApp, or Fiverr (if the project is booked there). I keep communication open and provide updates to ensure everything is moving in the right direction. By addressing these questions upfront, I help clients feel confident in the process and ensure a smooth collaboration.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: One of the biggest misconceptions about what I do is that music production, songwriting, and mixing & mastering are quick and effortless processes. Many people assume that making a great song is just about putting a beat together in a few minutes, but in reality, crafting high-quality music requires creativity, technical expertise, and attention to detail. From composing melodies and structuring arrangements to refining sound design and achieving a polished mix, every step demands precision and experience. Another misconception is that AI or pre-made beats can replace the artistry of a skilled producer. While technology is a great tool, nothing compares to the human touch, emotion, and cultural depth that an experienced professional brings to a track

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: When working with prospective clients, I ask key questions to ensure I fully understand their vision and deliver the best possible result. Some of the main questions include: - What is the purpose of the project? (Is it for a single, album, commercial use, film, or personal project?) - What genre and style are you looking for? (Do you have any specific influences or reference tracks?) - What emotions or message do you want the music to convey? - Do you have specific tempo, key, or instrumentation preferences? - Will you need vocals, songwriting, beat-making, mixing & mastering, or all of the above? - What is your target audience? (Who are you trying to reach with this music?) - What is your budget and timeline for the project? - How involved do you want to be in the creative process? (Do you want regular updates, or do you prefer a hands-off approach?) - Do you need stems, project files, or specific formats for delivery? - Are there any specific revisions or customization options you might need? By asking these questions, I can tailor my approach to meet the client’s needs and create a final product that exceeds expectations

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: When hiring a provider like me, it's important to choose someone who truly understands your vision and can bring it to life with creativity and professionalism. Look for a producer, songwriter, or engineer with proven experience, a signature style that aligns with your goals, and a track record of delivering high-quality work. Communication is key—be clear about your expectations, reference tracks, and desired sound. Also, ensure you’re working with someone who values collaboration and is willing to refine the project until it meets your standards. Most importantly, invest in quality—great music lasts forever, so choosing the right professional will make all the difference in your final product

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: MacBook,Piano Midi controller, Mic, Interface, Headphone

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: My career path as a music producer, singer, and songwriter has been shaped by passion, education, and global experience. I studied music production and DJing at Point Blank Music School and Pete Tong DJ Academy, gaining technical expertise that I’ve refined over the past 10+ years. My journey has led me to work with artists, DJs, and producers in over 80 countries, creating music that resonates worldwide. As a Fiverr Pro and top-rated seller in songwriting, singing, mixing & mastering, and beat making, I’ve had the privilege of crafting several global hits, including ‘Blessings Find Me Here’ by Sherwin Gardner. My mission is to bring an authentic African touch to every song, making music that is both powerful and timeless

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: My music style is a fusion of Afrohouse, Afrobeat, and Amapiano, deeply rooted in African rhythms and culture while embracing global influences. I create music that is rich in groove, emotion, and authenticity, blending infectious percussions, deep basslines, and soulful melodies. Whether through high-energy dance tracks or smooth, vibey compositions, my signature sound brings an unmistakable African touch to any genre, making it both modern and timeless

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: I would love to work with the top artists in Afrohouse, Amapiano, and Afrobeat who are pushing the sound globally. In Afrohouse, artists like Black Coffee, DJ Maphorisa, and Sun-El Musician inspire me with their deep, soulful production. In Amapiano, working with Kabza De Small, Focalistic, or Young Stunna would be incredible due to their innovation in the genre. In Afrobeat, collaborating with Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, or Rema would be a dream, as they bring a unique blend of African rhythm, melody, and international appeal. These artists align with my musical vision, and I believe my African touch would complement their sound perfectly.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Layering percussion with subtle variations can add depth and groove to your beats. In Afrohouse, Afrobeat, and Amapiano, rhythm is everything. Instead of using a single loop, layer different percussive elements with slight timing shifts, panning, or velocity changes. This creates a more natural, organic feel. Also, experiment with call-and-response between drums and melodic elements to keep the energy flowing and make the track feel alive.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: I primarily work on Afrohouse, Afrobeat, and Amapiano, infusing each track with a distinct African touch. However, my versatility allows me to work across various genres while maintaining an authentic rhythmic and melodic feel. Whether it’s commercial hits, gospel, film scores, or fusion projects, I tailor my production, songwriting, and mixing to bring out the best in any style of music while ensuring a high-quality, global sound

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: My strongest skill is my ability to fuse the authentic African touch with any genre while ensuring top-tier sound quality. Whether through songwriting, beat-making, or mixing & mastering, I have a deep understanding of how to bring life, energy, and emotion to a track. My expertise in Afrohouse, Afrobeat, and Amapiano allows me to create music that is both globally appealing and culturally rich. Additionally, my precision in sound engineering ensures that every song I work on is industry-standard, balanced, and impactful.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: I bring a unique African touch to any song, blending rich cultural rhythms with modern sound design. As a singer-songwriter, I craft meaningful lyrics and melodies that resonate emotionally. As a beat maker, I create dynamic, groove-driven instrumentals, ensuring each track has an authentic and engaging feel. And as a mixing & mastering engineer, I refine and polish the final product to industry-standard quality, ensuring clarity, depth, and impact. My goal is to make every song not just heard but felt, bringing an unmistakable African essence to any genre
