I write and perform creative vocal toplines for electronic music. My label releases include Nettwerk Music, Spearhead Records, Den Haku and Future House Cloud. BBC Introducing and Beatport support my work, and I've amassed 1M+ Spotify streams with my collabs (Charles B, Dirt Monkey, B12). HMU if you want to make something cool.
Hi, I'm Bryonii. I write and perform topline melodies for electronic music. I cover deep house, ambient, melodic techno, DnB and downtempo. I'm a trained musician with a music degree from Dartington College of Arts and have released on multiple labels.
I've got my own sound, but I'm also great at understanding a brief and taking direction. I work fast, and with over 10 yrs experience as a songwriter I've collaborated with countless producers and artists. I'm always excited to create new music and serve the muse.
I can write over an existing/completed instrumental - no need to change any of the structure to accommodate me. I can also work with a skeleton track that is not yet fully formed.
I can write lyrics to your existing melody.
I can provide vocals/harmonies/arrangement to an existing melody/lyrical idea.
I can write, sing and arrange your topline, working with you to nail your brief.
I can create a demo track or provide vocal stems for you to mix. I can also work with an in-house vocal producer for fully processed, professional vocals.
Please specify if the vocals are intended for a commercial release or are solely for demo/shopping purposes. **The vocals I record are not for commercial release. If you choose to release a track with my vocals I request that I not be credited as a featured artist**

Interview with Bryonii
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That vocal production uses the same skillset as making instrumentals.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What experience do you have producing vocals? It's a very different skillset to producing instrumentals. I can edit vocal to a good level and have a vocal producer who can help on projects if needed.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Be open - there's are an infinite number of interpretations a moline writer can deliver. Every artist is unique, and although references are very helpful - they work best as a stimulus. A true artist will not do their best work trying to emulate someone else. Be kind and supportive, they work we do can feel personal and vulnerable. Give every project 100%!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: headphones, pop-shield, logic, CLA vocals, a decent mic!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been dong this over 10 yrs... I've been in a pop band doing my younger years. I'm always pushing forwards and collaborating with higher tier producers along my journey.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Ethereal bangers.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Honestly I would love to collab with Burial, his music moves me in ways I can't define.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: The spaces in between are so valuable, don't overcrowd the song.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Electronic music across the board, a lot of melodic house and dnb.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I am a skilled writer as my core strength and have good pop sensibility which I believe is transferable across many genres.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I have an emotive tone, something unique about my delivery that producers value. I'm very professional in my approach and am always trying to level up my skillset. My song concepts are often slightly esoteric and magical.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I write very quickly - I have melodies pouring out of me and am a poet at heart. Vocal recording and producing takes more time and diligence for me personally.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a simple set-up with Logic, a Shure KSM44A and a classic Focusrite Scarlett 2i2.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Grimes, Oklou... I love women who produce cool, experimental electronic music with pop sensibility. I like the hyper pop trend and also old skool ambient vocalist like Enya for sound design! I love Britney for emotive pop vocal delivery and her unique tone.
