Hi! I’m Katie - A 10x award winning singer-songwriter and performer based in Santa Cruz, CA. I specialize in pop, folk, indie, and singer-songwriter genres for songwriting, session singing, and top-liner work.

While pursuing my own solo projects over the past ten years, I have split my time between The Bay Area, LA, and the PNW. My musical journey thus far has allowed me to work with both emerging and established producers and songwriters as: a session singer, cowriter, and songwriter geared towards tv/film placement.

I have more than 15 years of songwriting and performing under my belt and 10 awards for both; including song of the year - Hollywood chapter with West Coast Songwriters. Having been mentored by some of the leading industry professionals, I have an immense knowledge of what makes a great song and how to deliver it with the kind of emotion needed to make it stand out and connect with an audience.

Both songwriting and singing are passions of mine. I approach them with a lot of heart and promise to bring that into any project I work on. Whether you need help fine tuning a song, are starting from scratch and don’t know where to begin, or need lead vocals and/or harmonies for your new project, I would love to hear from you!

My voice and songwriting are full of warmth, smoothness, and texture which greatly compliment songs in the pop, indie, folk, and country genres.

Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am working on two new singles for a solo project wrapping up in the next couple of months!
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Make sure you click-If the vision is aligned and you vibe well, it will make all the difference in the end product.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Acoustic/Folk/Pop
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Ed Sheeran. I love his versatility! What a treat it would be to write and sing with him.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I specialize in singer-songwriter, indie, and folk, but have done work in the contemporary and country genres as well.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I have been writing professionally for almost as long as I have been singing. But, both are skills I have continued to hone and craft over the years with vocal and choral training early on, sessions and showcases with top industry songwriters, publishers, and labels, and co-writes with well established songwriters. With those experiences came an abundance of knowledge that I bring to the table with both songwriting and my vocal performances.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I write and sing from the heart and learned at a young age that the emotion you convey in a song can make or break it- that is, it has to be there. Lyrically, melodically, vocally, it all has to come together seamlessly and I bring that mindset into every track I work on.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: As creating music and songwriting are things that have always been super close to my heart, I like to really take the time to get in the headspace when collaborating. Be it co-writing or singing your song- I want hear your vision, where you dream of the song going, and the emotion you need conveyed in the story.

A: Home studio and work out of Logic Pro X.
