Ramiro Barrios was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Musician and music teacher, graduated from the Buenos Aires superior conservatory of music "Astor Piazzolla", where he taught as assistant at guitar clinics. He studied and took lessons with Ricardo Ozán, Gustavo Suarez, Pino Marrone, Miguel Tarzia, Guillermo Romero, Herbie Hancock, Sid Jacobs, Lee Konitz, Paul Wertico, Violeta de Gainza, Carlos López Puccio, Jacques Morelembaum, Ricardo Cavalli, Jonathan Kreisberg and Wayne Krantz.
He has been performing live for more than fifteen years, in different formats and musical styles such as rock, folklore, tango, jazz, sharing with diferents artists like: Juan Dargenton, Jana Purita, Cesar Silva, Pablo Elorza, , Roberto Seitz, Andrés Pellican, Oscar Giunta, Daniel Pipi Piazzolla, Diego Alejandro, Santiago Kurchan, Andrés Rotmistrovsky, Matías Mendez, Mana Ginart, Pedro Cortejosa, Michael Kersting, and others.
January 2020 play in Europe with saxophonist Pedro Cortejosa and drummer Michael Kersting. August 2019: made a tour for the second time in New York City playing his latest album. November 2018 he participated at the Buenos Aires International Jazz Festival 2018, with Matías Mendez on bass and Diego Alejandro on drums.
July 2018 presents his album in NYC, with Diego Alejandro and Andrés Roth
