Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I try to take inspiration from everything I hear, store it up, and then recall it whenever it's needed. I'm the equivalent of a musical sponge. I'm always amazed at what the older producers could do. When you think of us in the digital age now, with pretty much everything we need, and those guys were cutting straight to vinyl with one take!
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: It's mostly remote recording and mixing, especially in these Covid times! It's something I've always done though. A client will send me a demo of their song, we'll discuss through the details of what they want the finished track to sound like, and I'll take it from there. I'll record the parts and put the track together and they'll either record a lead vocal or we get a singer of their choice for the track. Then I'll do the final mix, and hopefully it's a hit!
