Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have being into music for more than 14 years, I started playing guitar and having some bands but 8 years ago I started as music producer. I have grown as music producer and work for a lot of artist from each style, pop, rock, rap, reggae, EDM, so I have a lot of experience and I can adapt to new things without a problem As sound engineer I have been working for around 5 years, and the last 3 I have been doing this as my full time job, oh and I got my sound engineer degree this year. I work remotely mixing for person all around the world, I know how to speak English, Spanish and Italian so I can communicate with a lot of people which is great for remote work
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Sometimes less is more, a super complex musical piece doesn't always mean better
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I would say Mixing, is the part of the process that I love the most and that I also do the most so, I trust my experience and my knowledge I know I can take your music to the next level
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I start by asking the client what's their sonic goal, what's the song meaning and asking for some external references, once I have all that I import the multitrack to my DAW, start to organize everything and start balancing the mix, fixing any spectral or dynamic aspect to make the song stand out, adding some creative effects to make it always interesting for the listener, once the mix is ready I send it to the client, and we start working on those final touches if they're necessary
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work in an acoustically treated room so all the mixes will translate perfectly in all devices, since I have different monitoring systems to always check and unsure that translation. I do have some analog gear such as the EMPIRICAL LABS – DISTRESSOR EL8X, the Teletronix LA2A, the UNIVERSAL AUDIO – 1176LN, that I use daily on my mixing chains, plus I also have the audient-asp8024 that brings that analog sound and help my workflow to be even faster now in the box I do a some of the best plugins, UAD, Waves, Izotope, Brainworx, and more I use as main monitors the Yamaha HS8
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I'm proud to be the music producer and sound engineer of a brand new duo from Spain named Santa Monica they awesome to work with and I personally love what we're doing. They're experimenting a lot with, pop, EDM, rock, R&B. Is always something new but really fresh Hope you hear about them really soon
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm working on different projects, 2 albums as music producer and 1 album as mix engineer

A: Yes I know another sound engineers that works here and sure she's amazing I would definitely recommend her

A: Both, why should we choose one if we can have the best of both worlds

A: I love music so being able to work with music is a dream come true

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Probably that people thinks that I only create songs, when being a music producer and sound engineer is way more than just simply "create songs"

A: What do you want to convey with this song?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Give me all the information you possibly can, influences, meaning for the song, mood for the song. The more inputs I have the better or easier would be for me to identify what you desire and take it into reality
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My Mac, an audio interface, a microphone probably the Neumann U87, my midi keyboard and my hard disk
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: open, friendly, passionate, hard worker
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with bring me the horizon, I think they're the perfect example of modern rock, combining massive guitars with modern elements such as sampling, effects, synths, is just awesome It would be a pleasure
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I work with whatever comes to me and inspire me, but as I said before I'm a big fan of rock music
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I could bring creative ideas either on arrangement, sound Design, I could improve the quality of a great or not so great recording to be it's best, and of course always passion and love for what I do
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: A lot, Chris Lord-Alge, Mark Ronson, Rob Cavallo, Zakk Cervini. Bands like, arctic monkeys, Green Day, paramore, metallica, some more modern like Billie Eilish or Rosalia I'm open to be inspirited by whatever I find interesting no matter the music style
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Usually I do mixing and mastering so my clients send the multitracks, references and some notes and I take it from there, using all my knowledge, creativity and tools to match and go above the references. When comes to music production I could create an entire music production from a voice note, or some chord progression, just having the right references I could take it to the next level.
