Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Eduard Artemyev - the world premiere of the Rock opera "Crime and Punishment". Eduard Artemyev is the patriarch of electronic music, a man who stood at the origins of sound synthesis. And his opera is the result of his whole life's work. It includes all the musical experience accumulated by mankind. I participated in this premiere as a performer of the 1st synthesizer part and worked personally with the Maestro. It was unforgettable!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: The score of the grand symphony orchestra for the stadium show soundtracks
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Unfortunately, I don't know anyone yet.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Ouch. I can defend my dissertation on this topic. The short answer is EVERYTHING

A: People and the inner world that they carry with their songs. I like to show people the best that is in their heart.

A: - How do you do it??? - I don't know! )))
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: All the producers wear baseball caps and don't take them off even when they sleep!)

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been professionally engaged in music since I was 4 years old, for 28 years now. Now I am 32 years old. I play the piano and graduated with a red diploma from the St. Petersburg Conservatory in piano class. I have been engaged in music production for more than 10 years and have a lot of experience and knowledge. I also perform as a solo pianist, as an artist of chamber ensembles and as a keyboard player in several stadium shows. And also as a session musician. All my hobbies are also related to music!
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Professional approach to business, warm approach to the client, respect. A warm heart, a juicy sound, sincerity and a bright own handwriting
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Michael Jackson. He feels the music with his skin, his sense of rhythm and style is a delight! Sting. I admire the way it's invented and recorded! Brian Eno is a wizard. Eduard Artemyev. But I worked with him. He's just a genius!)
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: There are no rules. Everything is possible! We need to try and search! Theoretical knowledge is of little importance in our profession, but experience, taste and empathy are very important!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop music, hip-hop, rock,author's song,classical music, ethno music
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I feel the artist and his personality, I know how to get into the energy flow of the artist I work with. I have an academic musical education and I am fluent in music theory, I have a lot of experience. I play the piano professionally and I can make a really interesting sound!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Every producer, arranger and composer has his own style and style. I like to play with styles, use ethnic instruments in my arrangements. And since I have a serious piano academic education, I like to use the piano the way it should sound really, powerfully and richly!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: You send me a demo recording, it can be an a cappella or your song with a simple accompaniment to the piano or guitar. We discuss the process with you, I introduce you to all the stages of the workflow. If you want, send me reference tracks and special wishes, how you want to hear your song, how you conceived it and how you feel about it. We are discussing whether acoustic instruments will be used and whether session musicians are needed in this track. If session musicians are needed, I can advise who is best suited for your song and I will negotiate with these musicians. After that, I make a draft of the track, a concept that usually consists of a verse and a chorus and show you the result. We are discussing the nuances again, and I take your comments into work and finish the entire track form entirely taking into account your wishes and comments! After that, we discuss everything together again and I finish the track completely! Next, I can advise you the mix and mastering engineers who are best suited for your song and style!
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work in the best studios in Belgrade, and in my home studio I work in Logic Pro X, I have a lot of analog synthesizers, midi keyboards and analog sound processing devices.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am inspired by young artists who are just starting their way in the world of music and show business. I like to see the best in an artist and emphasize his individuality! And, of course, I always follow the novelties and the work of my fellow producers. You can learn something from everyone!
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Producing pop music, hip-hop tracks, rock music, author's music. Work in Sibelius with scores. Work in movies and soundtracks for video games. Recording session keys of a live piano, full accompaniment of musical production, consultations.
