I once started recording & producing my own vocals in order to work faster and from the comfort of my own home. Soon enough, I fell in love with the whole process, and I decided to help other artists as well, something I enjoy very much. However good the singer, any vocal can be perfected to a professional standard!
The nice thing is that – as a singer, vocal coach and producer, and former psychologist – I have a unique set of skills that enable me to really connect with the artist, make them feel comfortable, understand what it is that I want to hear from them vocally, and how to gently direct them to the the best result.
All editing and tuning is geared towards capturing the perfect fusion of tone, style and emotion to suit the essence of the voice and song.
I will spend time subtly tuning each individual note in your song - manually. I understand how the tiniest tweaks can make or break the emotion of your song. Vocal tuning is an art, and it takes a tuned ear to get it right. I'll do whatever it takes to make your voice sound the best it can be!

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: For tuning specifically, I'll typically use Melodyne for the most natural sound. Sometimes I'll add a tiny bit of Antares Autotune, when the song calls for it.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I have a good sense of how what a singer's intention was with certain effects & decorations. Highlighting those things bring out that magic in a vocal. (Nothing more annoying than a tuning job that got rid of all the character!)
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: I share lots of tips for singers on my socials (look for 'Vocal Psychology' if you're curious). The main thing that I advise singers is: instead of trying to not make any mistakes, focus on an honest & soulful emotional delivery.

A: That tuning takes away all emotion & character. A good tuning job HIGHLIGHTS emotion & character.

Q: What's your typical work process?
A: First, I listen for the overall vibe & story of the song: what is the vocalist trying to convey? Does it call for a raw, natural sound or a tight, almost robotic radio feel? Once I get what the song & vocal is all about, I'll start with a general tuning & time aligning job to get the majority in the right place. Then, I perfect it manually until every single syllable sounds exactly as intended.
