I can do everything from recording violin solos, for your tracks, to full-on orchestral arrangements. And, I can do this in a wide variety of genres. I've studied classical, jazz, flamenco, and other ethnic sounds from Ireland to Greece, through to China. I know how to blend and hybridize, and how to bring unique flavours to your style.
I was classically educated in violin, viola, and piano. But, in my early professional career, I started on a path that led me through pop, rock, jazz, klezmer, Greek, and onwards into a wider world. I have many years experience creating arrangements for a wide variety of ensembles, recording and performing with them, and improvising in multiple genres. I have composed scores for a number of short films, and for many theatrical productions. I have also been heavily involved in musical theatre, arranging, composing, and performing in shows of all sizes.
In addition, I have over 20 years of recording, engineering, and producing music. My first projects were recorded on Studer and Soundcraft 24-track 2" machines, and mixed to two-track analog. I've been using Logic since before it was bought by Apple. These days, I continue with Logic, and a wide variety of plug-ins from well-known sources like Vienna Symphonic Library, Waves, Native Instruments, Garritan, and more.
Let me add a distinct and interesting element to any project you're working on.
I also happen to play greek bouzouki and greek baglama.
In addition, I work in Finale, if you have any scoring needs. I can produce full orchestral scores and parts. I can also transcribe music for you. Or, if I've recorded something for you, I can provide charts for other performers to use live.
