Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I was involved in the production of a broadway styke play for a Spanish arranger. Below is the link to their ad. I recorded the trumpet and trombone parts. This production has been in place for 2 summers in Spain, https://youtu.be/KfRyYdrER74
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: My band is producing a CD currently. I am creating all parts and recording all the trombone parts.

A: I love pleasing people with my music.

A: Usually my customers focus on range of the instrument. My range is from low F (pedal tones) to double high F on top of the staff.

A: I have quality work, fast and done to give specifications.

A: My trombone, laptop, mic, interface and headphones
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been producing and recording for over 15 years. I have been performing the trombone for over 30 years.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style is free. I have a blend of many styles since I have performed with many bands and genres.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: i would love to work with anyone. I truly loce to record.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: I keep approximately 1 foot away. I also keep levels at approximately 14 db

A: Salsa, jazz, gospel

A: Performance
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I put my feel and over 30 years of experience. I love to solo and have been highlighted in many recordings. I also have my own band - Orquesta Afinke www.afinke.com
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I usually get a track to record over and music. The client often provided BPMs of a song as well as specifications for recording (bits and hertz they would like the piece returned.)
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have an Apollo Quad ran on a Mac Mini. I use various mics but usually a Royer R-10 for my recordings.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I love all salsa musicians, especially more modern like Soneros del Barrio and Spanish Harlem Orchestra
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I can perform tracks using the trombone. I also play trumpet and saxophone. In addition, I can arrange pieces, especially Latin music and jazz.
