Jeff Tripoli is an American musician and famed drummer of The Town Pants. Tripoli began touring and recording music over 20 years ago with performances in hundreds of cities and several countries, Jeff 's professional career spans numerous genres including Alternative Rock, Folk, Americana, Celtic, Jamband, Funk, R&B, Zydeco and The Blues.

Jeff currently performs with Vancouver, BC based Celtic folk rockers, The Town Pants. The Town Pants have become a consistent audience favorite at Celtic, Folk, World, Irish and even Rock festivals throughout the United States, Canada and in Europe.

Tripoli was able to take part in the creation of The Town Pant's latest album "Something To Say" from start to finish with producer Mark Henning (Pure, Blisterene). Recording for STS took place at Crew Studios in North Vancouver, BC, Canada and released Spring 2018.

Currently, Tripoli is writing and producing his debut drum-only album "Rhythm Cadence for the New Renaissance" recording locally in Syracuse, NY with engineer and owner of Moletrax Studio, Jeff Moleski (Smashing Pumpkins, Motorhead, Suicidal Tendencies)

Interview with Jeff Tripoli

  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: I am currently producing my on solo drums only album as well as producing various demos and singles for local musicians.

  3. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  4. A: Your project will get my 100% attention to detail

  6. A: I do what I love

  7. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  8. A: Q: How quick is your turn around period from start to finish? A: Depending on the complexity of each project, recordings can be completed within 2-4 weeks.

  9. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  10. A: What kind of rhythmic feels are you searching for to enhance your recording project?

  11. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  13. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  14. A: Jeff began learning to play drums at age 10, making a kit of coffee cans, pie tins and pencils, imitating his idols. His aunt gave him a Ludwig snare drum when he was 11. He received his first drum set from his very supportive parents at age 12, a Pearl drum set with Zildjian cymbals. Tripoli never took formal drum lessons, though as a teen he had advice from other Syracuse drummers. Jeff has played with numerous groups through out his career. Most groups spanning through musical genres like Americana, Jamband, Rock, Funk, R&B and Zydeco. Tripoli attended the East Syracuse-Minoa school district where he met his first band, Elipsis, in 1997. After graduation, Tripoli began performing with original bands in the Syracuse area until moving to Ithaca, NY to join a zydeco jamband in 2008. After moving back to Syracuse in 2012, Tripoli began touring and recording with local rock bands before his ultimate recruitment to tour and record with The Town Pants in 2016.

  20. A: Organizational skills and over 20 years drumming experience recording and touring.

  22. A: DRUMS

  23. Q: What's your typical work process?

  24. A: Primary 1 on 1 consultation of the clients body of work. Secondary, establishing an agreement of what services will be provided. Lastly, recording and mixing of the final product.
