I’ve worked with Dan on countless projects. Since he moved to Nashville from the UK I’ve got to say I really miss having him in the studio because not only is he a great guitar player but also a great guy to hang out with and have on any session. Dan has always had an engineers ear for tone and doesn’t just deliver great lines and hooks but they’re always recorded properly and sound amazing.

Dan somehow lifts songs to a higher level. He has a unique understanding of what’s required to breathe life into a track and consistently exceeds expectations. He is respectful, versatile and technically brilliant. His attention to detail makes everything easier and I trust him. Highly recommended!

Dan has been a session guitarist for a couple of our records and not only does he always deliver exactly what we want, he also uses his producer-head to figure out the bits we didn't know we wanted. It's those little melodic choices in his lead lines or the subtleties of his rhythmic devices that I love. Also, frankly, being able to email someone a track, relax and be confident about what you'll get back is gold.

Dan produced my debut album and it was an absolute pleasure working with him. He brought my demos to life and made them sound even better than I had imagined them in my head. Highly recommended if you are a singer-songwriter, acoustic, folk, or country artist.

Where’s the 6stars option! I’ve sent hundreds and hundreds of projects to Dan over the last 15 years or so and every time the guy nails it! And not just that - the parts are so flippin well recorded and just drop in to the mix effortlessly. Quite frankly he deserves to charge a lot more for his exemplary service... book him before he does!!

Dan is Beyond 5 stars! As a songwriter..I adore co-writing, and recording with Dan Wheeler. He is an amazingly humble songwriter,guitarist, engineer, producer and arranger.
We wrote and recorded a 5 song EP together and I was blown away by all the production and instrumentation he is more than capable of. He is lovely! ..I cannot reccomend him highly enough!!!

Dan Wheeler is exceptional as a (remote) session guitarist - no matter what I throw at him in terms of style, chord progression and feel, he hits the bullseye every time, from delicate acoustic to Fripp-style electronics. He is an essential part of my recording set-up and cannot be recommended more highly.

Not a lot of people play acoustic guitar really well. It's deceptively hard to play and also to record well. Dan has the sound and technique- authentic, harmonic and also precise if needed. He's a lovely fella too, so can't recommend him highly enough.

As a singer songwriter there is no one I would trust more to carefully and loving craft my song than Dan. It’s like handing over a precious child and seeing someone love them as much as you do. Dan is a fantastic player, he has been my go to session player for over 20 years. His output is highly consistent and creative. His tone is first class.. and has licks for days. He has worked for me on tracks alongside Robert Plant and featured on tracks with BJ Cole, with Dan adding his own incredible slide playing. Despite being born in the UK Dan is more Nashville than most! In all seriousness he is brilliant, great sounds, ideas, nails the parts and is easy to work with, rarely tell him what to do nowadays as I’m confident I’ll get what I want!
