"One of the best [mix engineers] I've ever worked with. I mean it." - Michael John LaChiusa (four time Tony Nominee)
I spent a long time mixing broadway tours before running the audio department for the Public Theater 2004-2006. Then I ran around the country a little more with bigger tours before settling in the Seattle area. Now I design and mix for various regional and nation productions while mixing records and posting myriad content between traveling engagements.
I'm an alt/pop rock/power pop guy at heart (think Weezer, OK Go, The Posies, Jellyfish, Death Cab, Oranger). So, those sounds just fall out. And I have decades now working with vocal forward, harmony driven, orchestra backed, production music (think Michael Buble, Harry Connick Jr., Celin Dion or your favorite Broadway show) so, I can kinda handle almost anything. I'm not your EDM guy. I wanna be, but I haven't put in the time. It sounds like fun though. And I'm probably not your legit hip-hop guy, but I bet I could make good with the right artist. Hyro or Beastie Boys (if they could ever be duplicated) or Kid Rock. ;)
I mix in Pro Tools or LUNA. I have all the plugins and a healthy outboard setup feature API, Moog, Elysia, Maag, AMS, Eventide, lexicon and more all summed through a 1984 Trident 80B and Burl B2 Bomber for all the warmth I think we'll ever need. I monitor with Barefoot MM27s and NS-10s (and my Honda. When it dies, I die.).
I'm available to mix, produce and co-write.
