"Travie Austin is at this moment one of the most exciting indie artists around" - QReview
I am a trained vocalist and I specialize in pitch correction, vocal production and mixing.
I'm known for being high energy and extremely professional. For the past four years I have written, co-written, produced and mixed music for and with numerous musicians and producers worldwide. I am in love with helping musicians bring their music to life in addition to my own.
In 2021 I signed with Accidental Entertainment, Inc based in LA for Sync Placements, and in March 2022 my song "That Sauce" was featured in the CW series All American: Homecoming.
I offer production services, including vocal production, pitch correction, backing vocals, vocal arrangement, mixing and occasionally mastering.

I had the pleasure of working on another one of Travie’s songs. He’s a breeze to work with and his vocals are so inspiring they make me step my game up as a producer! Highly recommend.

Working with Travis was delightful. I did a couple of remixes for him and besides being a very talented singer, he's so easy going and passionate about music that really takes the edge off working on music without actually being together in the same room. Highly recommended. Thank you Travis!

Travis was amazing to work with. Very prompt and exhaustive in giving me a clear understanding of where he wanted me to go with the remix I made for them. Feedback was given swiftly which really helps the overall dynamic of working together. Very professional and talented!
Interview with Travie Austin
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Backing VOX and mixing them is not an easy task. They need purpose, they need to enhance the song AND build it!
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: How do you want to transform your song? What are your references?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Be ready to play with ideas. Music is our career, but it's also fun. I'd rather provide a lot for you to say no to, than to give you very little to work with.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: MacBook, Mic, Midi Pad, Pop Filter, Keyboard.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I'm a full time stage actor, and made music on the side because it was my escape. In the 7 years I've been making music, I've been learning and improving on the knowledge that I gained in College in my Music Production classes. When the pandemic hit, I dove head first into making music full time and really learning and improving the areas where I was really an amateur when it came to production.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Soul Pop. (R&B that doesn't know it's Pop) There's a bit a swag, a bit of sass, and a bit of soul. Which encompasses my entire personality.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Jacob Collier, his musical brain is insane and if I could be in the room with it for just a few moments, I know I would learn so much.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Our goal is to enhance the song and highlight the lead (whatever that may be), not to distract from it.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: R&B, Pop, Electro Pop, Hip Hop, Indie Pop, Indie Rock
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Singing, Vocal Arranging.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Depth, Smoothes, and tonal layers.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Depending the style of songs and the complexity of the arrangement, I could spend anywhere from 24 Hours - 7 Days flushing out the vocal production of a song.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Logic Pro X user, studio mic set up, Antares, WAVES Plug Ins (superfan)
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
