Our first mastering gig together, and man, it was amazing! A very, very nice client, ears all open to my suggestions, and communication were top-notch. Very pleasing experience and 100% recommended!

Interview with Heartboi Productions
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. Different vibes for different situations.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I don't believe in promises... But I will put everything I got into your project.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: I can't mix a poorly recorded record and make it sound radio ready. Capture the best recording possible to get the best outcome across the board.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What inspired the song? What inspires you to create? What are you looking to accomplish with this project?
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Different- just like everybody else lol (That was a joke 😬, probably a bad one, but a joke nonetheless)
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Any Artist that's talented, passionate, hardworking, and got a sound that catches my attention. You gotta like the music your working on. It has to connect in some way, even if it isn't the most obvious. You can hear a mix and tell when the engineer loves the music they are working on!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: There's always more than one way to do something/
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: R&B, Alternative R&B, Soul, Hip Hop, Rap, Instrumental
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Connecting and Engaging with people in a multitude of ways.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Creativity, Passion, Sugar, Spice, and whatever else is needed to make the right recipe.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I always start off with a blank canvas. I listen, listen, listen and begin developing the strategy around bring the music to life. My process isn't linear nor is it set in stone. My intuition typically guides the way.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Home Music Studio, Decent hardware, I do most of the mixing in the box. I always say you can own a million-dollar studio and still put out garbage. Meaning it's not always about the Gear, it's about the passion, the drive, and the willingness of the Engineer.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Ryan Leslie, The Dream, and Tricky Stewart, Scott Storch, Brian Michael Cox...I can literally keep going but I think. I'll stop here lol.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Mix Engineering, Songwriting, Hooks
