Interview with Aless Trip

  1. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  2. A: During my experience such as stage operator and mixer operator i understood many different types of emergencies can come up during a performance. Being able to recognize and resolve any needs of the artists is important to me. I have worked with digital and analog consoles. I have big collection of vintage microphones and i keeped running a portable analog studio for ADAT recording. I do 16 channel analog live recording session. More over, during studio assistant i developed skills in configuring and cabling studio equipment. I have knowledge of Pro Tools software and DAW hardware. I have worked for many recording studios recording audio for music groups and commercial spots. I can set all microphones correctly for recording and i can get ready a stage in theatre or concert. In a broadcast radio I learned how to configure, install, and wire a radio network in the low frequency and electric charge. I have a good comprehension of working with signal processors (Orban, EAV and others), exchangers phone, streaming platforms and DAB technology. With my work experience in radio and in ICT support I have gained knowledge in the technical repair of computers hardware, and installing software. I have good customer relation skills.

  3. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  4. A: I usually work with Jazz, World Music, Folk, Reggae and Classical but I am able to range any type.

  5. Q: What's your typical work process?

  6. A: - Communicate with the customer to understand the technical requirements. - Site inspection. - I usually ask for video and audio to understand the typology of work. - If the customer remains satisfied we understand price and date time.

  7. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  8. A: My mobile studio has 16 analog channels mixer (Mackie 1640i), 16 recording ADAT tape channel, and rare collection of vintage microphones for all purpose.

  9. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  10. A: For my customers i can manage a live concert, musical, theatre show. I can configure, install, and wire all equipment needed. I can record ADAT live session.
