Vocal tightness is one of the most essential elements in making a production sound professional. As a singer, I know how picky we are about our own tracks as I've spent countless hours over the last 5 years tuning my voice and that of others, while retaining the human authenticity. I'm here to help you reach that radio-ready sound in your head.
VOCAL TUNING AND TIMING
I have the most experience with manual vocal vocal tuning. I dive deep into the song with Melodyne 5 Studio where I clean up the pitch, vibrato and timing of the vocals to sit them into the pocket of the song. I use WavesTune on top of Melodyne for the productions that require an even cleaner poppier sound. I use VocAlign to align and tighten all doubles and harmonies to the lead track.
As well, I have experience editing timing and pitch of instruments like guitar, bass, keyboards, fiddle and pedal steel. This is especially good for polyphonic instruments where a note in a chord is slightly out or off beat. I use Melodyne for this and it'll work wonders on your song!
My fee is $45 per song for my services with discounted rates for multiple songs. Please reach out if you have any questions at all. I'll gladly answer.
I require the individual vocal stems as well as an instrumental of the song. An additional rough mix with the vocals included always helps getting the right feel as well.
The sample song is Bigger Plans by The Record Breakers. I played guitar and sang backups and did all the vocal tuning on it. Search up The Record Breakers for more samples of my work. Songs like "Winter", "In My Car / Dans Mon Char" and "November" are good samples.

Interview with Hayden Nolan
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Mix engineer Omar Raafat, who mixed the song on my page. He does terrific work.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: A mix of both is my favourite.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: The biggest misconception is that it's as easy as putting AutoTune on the vocal and voila, in reality it's hours or time manually tweaking everything to get it just right! Totally worth the time.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Describe the sound in your head and are there some existing productions that sound like that?
