From straight-ahead instrumentals to experimental concepts, I can help you make the music you want to make. I have the technical guitar and bass chops to play the parts you give me, and the imagination to add whatever missing composition and production gaps may need to be filled. I also love to improvise.
I am here so I can be of service to others. I have done plenty of work to make my own music and bring it to life, so when it comes to helping others not only do I have experience but I can leave my ego at the door and let my collaborators shine. When I work with others, I'm genuinely interested in their ideas and want to harmonize with those ideas as much as possible, both musically and figuratively.
More about my experience: I have been teaching guitar, bass, ukulele and piano for the last decade. Before building that career, I played bass in my high school jazz band and recorded a ton of original music while playing in rock bands in college. My one-man, multi-tracked extravaganza called The Living Planet was my creative playground where I composed and recorded the instrumental and experimental music of my dreams. After realizing it was truly a one-man project, I converted it into Quasar Cycles, a live-looping project of hard psychedelic space funk. Since starting to record and perform under that moniker, I've been fairly satisfied with all my personal creative music endeavors, which makes collaborating with others from scratch a truly exciting and fresh experience. The discovery process of writing and recording remains a true passion of mine and it's always fun to share that process with others.
