Interview with Adam Wren
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both please!
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Talk to me!! That's where we start.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Penknife and a box of matches.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started working in studios in the 90s, hooked up with Leftfield and started working with them, both in the studio and on tour playing in the band.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Powerful and edgy.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Get the vocal/lead instrument right and the rest will follow.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I work across all genres but electronic dance music and hip hop has been a speciality.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Power and emotion.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I listen, both to the artist and what they bring me, and we go from there.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I run a hybrid analogue/digital setup, combining the benefits of both technologies. I use the very best of what these worlds offer.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
