Interview with Alicenap

  1. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  2. A: Depends on the context of the work. I am not orthodox about anything related music.

  3. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  4. A: I will try my best to achieve your goals and make you happy at the end of our collaboration!

  5. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  6. A: Every piece of music is a new journey and working with my cool artist clients!

  7. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  8. A: What is the story/goal of your project? Can you provide some reference tracks? What would you like me to contribute to your project as a producer/musician/mentoring etc.?

  9. Q: How would you describe your style?

  10. A: Believe or not. It changes!.. And I like it. For me, sticking to a musical genre limits my canvas. But, if you are asking about recently, it is mostly neo soul, lo-fi hip hop, chill kind of stuff.

  11. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  12. A: Never skip a musical idea! Document it as soon as possible (e.g. record it in your phone)

  13. Q: What's your typical work process?

  14. A: Understanding the vision of the project is the most important step. All other details should serve for that vision and goal.

  15. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  16. A: I don't have any specific ones; because my musical taste and style changes time to time as I discover new music and musicians. At the end of the day, there is only good and bad music for everyone.

  17. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  18. A: I can typically provide any service related to music production (e.g. coaching on songwriting, beat making, acting as a session player, full scale production, mixing/mastering etc...)
