Mixing and Mastering Engineer

Hello. I am a seasoned Recording Engineer with extensive experience mixing and mastering Americana, Rock, Blues and Singer Songwriter material. I believe the mix must serve the song. I believe in listening to the artist and helping them create material that they love - really listening to what the artist says and delivering.

Okay. I don't have a Grammy or Platinum Album on the wall, but the credits are solid. I produced a record that landed the band a major label contract (Kuwaisiana, Chapter One). I mixed a song that was featured on the Netflix show Bosch (The Iguanas, Needle in a Haystack). And I can provide press clippings of well reviewed material that I had the pleasure and privilege to participate in the production of. Many songs I've worked on have been all over college radio and internet playlists.
From New York to New Orleans, I have worked with great players (and some not so great). The single best takeaway I've got after a decade of recording, mixing and mastering is listen to the artist. If you check out the samples provided you will understand. Although I had my hands on all these tracks, the approach to the mix is unique in every case. This is, of course, because each songwriter, each singer, each guitar player has a different notion about how they want their music to be heard. I enjoy learning and helping to reveal the musician's vision and inspiration as much as anything I do.
